16.Getting freed

I just want to thank whoever has been and is still reading my story. I just hit 400 reads and I'm really happy. I know for some of you guys that may not be much but it means a lot to me, so thank you so much guys!

Jace's POV

"I'm here to bust you out," says a
certain brown haired Shadowhunter I call rat face. He grins and tries to act all superhero like. Emphasis on tries. I don't think Simon will ever come even close to looking like a superhero.

"Okay well get to work then," I say irritatedly.

"I thought you'd at least be more grateful," he grumbles.

"Well I'm not, just free me already," I say in a dull monotone, tired of being stuck in this awful place.

"Nope," he says cheerily, popping the 'p', an idea forming in his tiny head.

"What?" I ask, angrily.

"I want you to say a magic word and then I'll free you," he says grinning and his eyes flashing evilly.

"Free me right now or else..." I let the sentence trail off to make it seem scarier. But it doesn't seem to faze him in the least, on the contrary it makes him grins wider and he says, "Or else what?"

"I might accidentally disfigure your face even more when we spar,"

"Oh but first you have to get out of here to do that right," he says, smirking, ignoring the insult to his face. He must be used to it by now because I tease him so often. He does have a point but I would rather adopt a duck before I admit that.

"Ugghhh," I groan. "Do I have to?"

"Yep, unless you want to keep eating that green sludge thingy," he says.

"He is more evil than ducks and that is saying something," I mutter to myself softly. "Okay, fine. Please," I whisper, just loud enough for him to hear.

"Sorry I didn't quite catch that," he pretends, cupping his hand around his ear.

"Please," I growl, much louder.

"Sorry, what?" He mocks me again.

"Please," I nearly shout at him. "Good enough for ya," I say, my words dripping with sarcasm.

"Yep I'll make do with what I get," he says and walks over to me and breaks the chains with a rune.

I rub my sore wrists and snatch a stele and a few daggers from Simon.

"Hey!" He squeals like a little girl. Little girl, yeah. The resemblance is actually quite shocking. Though I'm fairly sure Simon is way more irritating and way less good looking.
