That Friday, I decided to go out with Francis around the city. She was going to show me the sights around town, then we were going to go eat at her favorite restaurant. She showed me lots of historic buildings, theaters, and other interesting sights.
" I'm starving," Francis informed as we entered the restaurant.
" Me too," I replied.
Our server sat us down at a table, "Your waiter will be with you in a moment," she said before walking off.
" What's good here Francis?" I asked.
" Everything," she answered happily.
My mouth watered as I gazed upon a beautiful steak on the menu.
" Afternoon ladies. I'm Cody, and I'll be your waiter," a guy said.
I looked up and saw the most gorgeous guy I ever laid my eyes on. He had blond hair, blue eyes, he was about 5"11 , and the most gorgeous smile.
" Great. I'll have a cheeseburger with a Coke," Francis told Cody.
He wrote her order down and looked at me.
" I'll have a steak, medium rare, with fries please. Oh, and a Dr. Pepper," I said looking at him dreamily.
He smiles sweeter at me, nodded, and walked off.
" What was that all about?" Francis asked.
I didn't say anything but smiled instead.
" You like Cody don't you? You do!" she exclaimed.
I blushed, " Maybe. don't blame me though. I've only had one crush in my life besides Cody, and that turned into a disaster."
" So you do like him?" Francis asked again.
" Yes, I like him. Are you happy?" I asked.
She nodded, " Yes I am because he just heard you."
I turned a bright red, and hid my face for the rest of the meal.
When it came to getting the check, I noticed a number on my copy of the ticket. It had a number and a message that said ' text me sometime -cody" on it. I smiled and walked home back to the penthouse. I'll admit, this is going good."
