( Author's note: well, I got over the writer's block... Sort of.. Here's what I got hope y'all like it)

I've got to admit.. Cody was a hottie. Before I came here, the only guys that were cute were tall, tan cowboys who were in rodeos. I was for sure I was proven wrong today. Just when I got to the penthouse, Aunt Matilda called me for dinner.

Even though I wasn't entirely hungry, I went to the dining room to eat. Apparently I wasn't paying attention because my wonderful aunt made me escape from my thoughts about Cody.

" Alaina, are you listening?" Aunt Matilda asked.

" Hmm?? Oh yeah," I replied.

" What was the last thing I said then?" She interrogated.

" Umm.. Was it about the weather?"

She rolled her eyes and continued to eat.

After I helped with the dishes, I went up to my room like I normally do. I kept staring at my ticket with Cody's number on it. I debated for a couple minutes before I picked up my phone shakily, entered his number, and typed,

" Hey, it's Alaina. The girl you gave your number to today."

I finally have the courage to hit the send button. What did I just get myself into?
