() an: sorry for not updating.. I had another major mental block()

I didn't want things to get even more awkward between me and Aunt Matilda.

' I might as well apologize," I thought.

I waited until we got back home and settled. Aunt Matilda was making dinner by the time I figured out the words I was going to use. I took a deep breath before going to talk to my aunt.

" Aunt Matilda" I started " I want to apologize for yelling at you earlier. I was just upset, and I thought that you didn't trust me."

She turned and looked at me with a face I've never seen in her before. It looked sad and worried.

" Alaina, dear, I forgive you. it's just that city people are far different from country people. City boys are carefree and country boys know how to be respectful of things around them."

I wasn't sure about that last comment. some city boys I now know are just as good as the boys back home.

"Now," she continued " let's eat."

We say down at the dinner table and are another vegetarian meal. I swear, one more meal like that, and I would've not survived.

I helped cleaned the kitchen and thought about what my aunt had said. I knew some city boys were ignorant and selfish, but not Cody. Cody would never use me. And then the question I hated to ask myself popped up. Would he?
