I turned back around to find all eyes on me. I smiled sheepishly and found my way to an empty seat. A girl next to me nudged my shoulder and said, “You’re the Anon!”
I smiled and said, “Yeah. I’m Alexis Night.” I extended my hand to her. She grabbed it and shook my hand while she said, “I’m Ruth Panther.”
“Pleasure to meet you.” I smiled.
She was a pretty blond with velvet colored eyes.
Velvet!?
Please, I’m the last person to judge colored eyes. She was wearing a short, red jacket that showed her stomach, red shorts and red, knee-high boots. Whenever she leaned forward I could see the hint of a tattoo at the back of her neck.
“Cool tattoo.”
“Oh that’s not a tattoo. That’s my mark. It’s a dragon symbol.” She explained.
“Sweet!” I blurted.
It was sweet. I mean having a mark like a dragon? That’s awesome! She giggled. The door flew open and a teacher dressed in a long, blood red gown walked in. The dress had a slit that went straight up her thigh, showing a bit too much leg. The guys in the class made quiet suiting noises so she couldn’t hear. But sadly I heard. She shot them a deadly stare, which meant she heard them. They all sank back in their chairs hiding their faces. All I could do was to chuckle as quietly as I could.
“Welcome, class, to my studio.” She motioned her hands to the whole room then continued, “And my name is Ms. Leah Dragon. This class is one of the most, dream-like classes you’ll ever be in. Sure you’ll learn to dance and to sing, but you do a bit of drama while you’re at it. It will be tough, but we will make it as fun as possible. In this class, we encourage you to have a huge ego.” She laughed a bit then continued again, “Or else you would not have the best of times while you’re in this class. Now, today, we just want to gauge your skill level at singing and dancing. Choose whatever you want to sing, dance or sing and dance to.”
Everyone in the class started mumbling and whispering.
Sing?! Dance?! Whatever we want to sing or dance to?! And even both?! Oh this is going to be awesome! Maybe I should sing. No, no, no. I should dance. No I should sing. But what to sing? Ugh! So complicated!
I was arguing with my own self. I am complicated.
“But, before we test your skills let’s have demonstration from my best student in the dramatic arts. He should be here any mo-”
She was cut short when the door opened a presented a guy. And. Oh. My. God. He was sexy! He had slicked down, black hair, golden eyes, perfect, white as snow skin and a perfect jaw line. He was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt that was tucked into his nicely fitted, black jeans and he was wearing black, leather converse. He had silver chains hooked all around his belt to his pockets. He just looked so amazing, so perfect, so…
Oh. My. God. It’s the guy from behind the café! I sunk down in my chair. I am sooooo dead! I said to myself. His eyes shot to me as if he heard me. He smiled and never took his eyes off me while he walked to the teacher’s side.
“Ah, perfect timing as always Mr. Diavolo.” Ms. Dragon beamed a smile at him.
“Of course Ms. Dragon. I’d give my whole life for the arts.” He smiled back at her. He walked up to my desk while Ms. Dragon described how it all works here. He stood up in front my desk and stared at me. I heard Ruth make an eeeeek! noise next to me. I stretched out my hands over my desk and held on tight, as if it will keep me down from jumping up and do who-knows-what in front of this guy. I kept my eyes down, looking at the desk. He rested his hand on mine, which made me look up at him. As I guessed, he was still staring intently at me. But now, he was looking straight into my eyes. It must have been weird. I mean his eyes are gold, mine are ice blue, he’s dressed in all black and I’m dressed in all white. He held my hand in his, he raised it to his lips, closed his eyes and gently pressed his lips against the back of my hand. I shuddered. He opened his eyes and looked at me again. Ohmygod! I died, went to heaven, came back to life and brought back an angel with me.
