“I’m telling you, she cast a spell!” I heard Alexander complain with someone.
“How could she!? She doesn’t even remember all of her past!” Another familiar voice yelled.
I think it was my dad.
“Are you sure it was the symbol of the demon realm? Aarón’s and my realm?” A voice asked.
I think that was King Ambrosio.
“Yes! A freakin’ red moon!” Alexander yelled in frustration.
“Calm down, honey. We’re just trying to figure all of this out. Because of past actions and yesterdays’ incident, it’s hard to think of a solution,” a calm, soothing voice calmed Alexander.
It was his mom, for sure.
“Of all things she called upon, it was the Flaming Demon Phoenix!? Not even Aarón can handle such power!” A female voice stated.
My mom, that is certain.
“I swear on my life, that what I saw was, Alexis calling upon the Flaming Demon Phoenix, she controlled it, gained its trust and sent it back to the demon realm. She did all this while she felt betrayal from an ex-friend, tried to kill her with this power, but I stopped her and that was when she sent it back,” Alexander explained to all of them.
“Good. You managed to stop her and not get hurt in process. Stay by her side, always,” my dad warned him.
“I would have even if you hadn’t asked me to. I will protect her with my life,” Alexander sounded sure and certain.
“The question is…do you love her?” His father asked him.
“I-…” he trailed off.
“A-Alexander…” I stuttered as I finally opened my eyes.
My eyes wouldn’t open all the way. It was open enough for me to catch a glimpse of Alexander. I reached out to him with my hand. He held on to my hand and said, “Alexis…”
“Alexander…I’m sorry…” I tried to say before losing consciousness again.
“Shh. It’s okay. Just rest and feel better. I’ll be by your side, waiting till you awake in the morning,” he smiled and gently caressed my cheek with his other hand.
“I will always be at your side,” he said to me before I fell into another state of unconsciousness.
