We made it to the gate and he turned to ask me, “Can you fly fast?”
“Yeah. Why?” I furrowed my brows.
He unfurled his wings and automatically, mine came out as well.
“What the hell?” I looked at my wings with a WTF look on my face.
“C’mon,” he pulled me into the sky with him, holding my hand.
We flew and flew until it started to feel like dejavu. This route seems quite familiar. I was right. It was familiar. A bit too familiar. We were heading to the Orphanage. We landed right on the front steps of the Orphanage. Alexander still held on to my hand and knocked on the door with his free hand. Again, a sleepy Ms. G. welcomed us.
“Ms. G.! Looking good as ever,” Alexander smirked.
Her head shot up at Alexander. Her eyes widened.
“Alexis! Alexander! Is it that time already?” she blinked rapidly at us.
“So it seems. Alexis needs the book. The Prophesy is happening. A war is going to happen because we came to be,” Alexander told her.
“Right this way! Come on in! I’ll get the book,” Ms. G. rushed us in.
“Children of our Queens and Kings, awaken from thy slumber. You have been called forth. Remember thy past and thy present beings. You have been risen,” Ms. G. whispered with her right palm facing herself.
Her hair was lifted off her shoulders and a bright light was sent from her body to different places in the house. She then ran off to who knows where in the house.
“It’s about time!” I heard one of the children yell.
“Ugh! I was enjoying the innocence! Why now!” Another groaned.
“That time already!? Alright let’s go help Alexis!” Another yelled.
All of them then yelled, “Aye!” at the last person’s comment.
Through all the halls, you saw each little kid with wings flying! I was so completely and utterly shocked that all sensible statements left my mind.
“Th-th-they’re angels!? And Demons!?” I yelled, astonished.
“Yup. They’re special though. They focus on spells instead of hand to hand combat. They mainly stick around you though. They like to protect you and if you wish for them to protect someone close to you, they will protect them with their life. Almost as if it were you,” Alexander smiled at them, but directed the statement at me.
“ALEXIS!” I heard Annie yell as she came flying down the stairs.
She had pure white wings and her skin seemed to be glowing. She was wearing a cute, white, Gothic Lolita dress, white stockings, black shoes and a white ribbon tied her hair up in one ponytail. Also, she had a white, spike studded cuff around her ankle and her neck. She tackled me to the floor and hugged me.
“Alexis, Alexis, Alexis, Alexis!” she repeated over and over as she cried.
“Annie, here, is closest to you because she’s actually part of you. So as you two grew up together, you may have felt a close connection with her. There is actually another that is a part of you, but he stayed with me in Spain. You told him to protect me, thank you for that by the way, and he just so happens to be Annie’s twin brother, Dannie. He’s the demon part of you, like Annie is the angel part of you,” Alexander chuckled at Annie as he explained to me.
Did he just thank me…again?
“Yes. And I am very grateful. Dannie helped me a lot. If it weren’t for him, all wounds I got would not have healed and you may have felt them,” Alexander said through thought.
