First the engagement. Then the want for me to be a Sergeant. To everything else. This was way too much.

I stood outside of the precinct and breathed heavily, as tears threatened the spill over, and anger and panic set in.

Why would Aubrie sleep with a man she barely knows, and decide to get married to him because she's pregnant? She should even have another kid right now, because she's just getting her career set up.

Then why would Cragen want me to be a Sergeant? I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready to be anything more important than a detective!

"Olivia." Elliot spoke, and I looked over at him and shook my head, as I ran my hands over my pants.

"This is not happening." I spoke, and he shook his head.

"This is though, Olivia. She's doing what she thinks is right." He frowned, and I did have to admit that she was trying to give herself and Ollie a stable life, and if she wanted to do that with the man, I guess she was going to.

"El, this whole Aubrie thing isn't the only issue!" I cried, and he sighed before pulling me towards our sedan.

He forced me into the passenger side, before walking around and climbing into the driver seat. He looked forward and waited for me to talk, but I didn't want to talk anymore. I wanted to just go home and see James. No more work.

"Baby, what did Cragen want to talk to you about?" He asked, and I frowned deeply.

"He wants me to take the Sergeant exam when you do." I breathed, and he smiled.

"That's amazing, Liv!" He smiled, but that smile faded when he saw the tear run down my cheek.

"Liv, it isn't that big of a deal. Everything will work out in the end." He spoke, and I shook my head.

"Can I have the keys to the SUV? I'm going to tell Cragen that James needs me."

The issue with all of this was the speed that it was coming at. I didn't want Aubrie to hate me, so I got up the courage and headed towards her office, while James stayed with Lucy for a bit longer.

My daughter works at a small architect firm, and I was thankful that it was so small so I could actually talk to her.

"Aubrie." I spoke, and she looked up from her desk in the small office she worked in.

"Mom?" She questioned, and I bit my lip.

"Can we talk? Please?" I asked, and she nodded slowly, as she put her pencil down.

"I guess. Shut the door."

I shut her office door, before walking over and pulling a chair up to her desk.

"So, we have some serious things to discuss." I spoke, and Aubrie nodded slowly.

"I guess we do. But Mom-"

"I know you are marry whoever this man is, because you want to make sure Ollie and that baby have a safe home. Is he the baby's father?" I asked, and Aubrie nodded.

"Yeah, and he is an actual father to Ollie." She spoke, and I sighed.

"You aren't giving this up, are you?" I spoke, and she shook her head.

"I love this job. I finally know what I want to be the world, and I finally have someone I love." She replied, and I reached over and grabbed her hand. I squeezed it gently, before closing my eyes.

"Mom?"

"Can we meet him?"I asked, as I reopened my eyes, and the tears that had welled there had disappeared.

"Of course you can. He's going to be my husband, you need to meet him at some point." She smiled, and I nodded.

"Bring him to dinner tonight." I smiled.

"Okay. You'll love him. He's so sweet and amazing."

"You really love him, don't you?" I breathed, and she nodded.

"Like you love Dad."

I stood in the kitchen of my mother's house. She and Ron had purchased an actual house shortly after we adopted Josie, so they'd have more space. It's about a half hour out of the city, and it has a huge backyard, that always has a game of catch or soccer happening in it.

"So, how was work?" She asked, and I shrugged.

"It was okay." I sighed, and she eyed me.

"Just okay?"

"A lot of changes have been happening lately. Mind handing me that bag carrots?" I spoke, and she rolled her eyes, but did as I asked.

I started to chop the carrots for the salad, when the front door opened, and I heard the kids arrive.

"Mommy!" Charlie exclaimed, and I sat the knife down and walked towards the living room as she slipped her boots off. Elliot had gotten the SUV back after I talked to Aubrie, and he got the kids.

"How was school, love?" I asked, as the other kids walked in, but went straight towards the kitchen to talk to Serena.

"Good! I brought Grandpa's necklace back!" She exclaimed, as she pulled Ron's dog tags from her pocket, and I smiled.

"He's in the backyard cooking the steak. Why don't you ask Al or Josie to take you out there." I smiled.

She nodded and ran into the kitchen, and the front door opened. Ollie came running in, and I smiled as he ran towards me, and I hugged him. Then Aubrie and her fiance came in.

"Hey, love." I spoke, and Aubrie smiled.

"Mom, this is my fiance Greg Shepard." She spoke, and I looked at the man.

He was tall, taller than Elliot. He had dark red hair, and dark green eyes. The way he held my daughter's hand, I could tell he was nervous.

My grandson stepped away from me, and I walked over and reached my hand out to him.

"I'm not the one that bites, by the way. I'm Olivia. It's nice to meet you, Greg." I smiled, and his eyes went wide, as I scared him. Elliot hasn't even met him yet, so that'll be a big scary meeting.

"Hi, Mrs. Stabler. I'm sorry that this was a shock, but I love your daughter, grandson, and our baby." He spoke, as he smiled at Aubrie, and Aubrie leaned over and kissed his cheek gently.

The front door opened, and Elliot walked in, his eyes filled with anger, and he rolled his eyes.

"Your the one who wants to marry my baby girl."
