As Saturday progressed, Kora grew more anxious. She wanted to be completely calm, and not worry about what she was going to say to our whole family tomorrow, but since Elliot knew one of our kids had feelings for their same gender, her anxiousness wasn't helping.
"What's wrong with Kora?" Elliot asked, as he came into our room. I was getting dressed to go pick up James and Charlie from my parents house.
"She's just anxious. I don't think she got a lot of sleep last night." I spoke, but it was one big lie. And he knew. That's what sucks about being married this long, and being with him for so long, because he knew when I was lying or not.
"Livvie, what's really bothering our daughter?" He asked, and I sighed. I sat down on the bed, and started to tie my sneakers.
"Go talk to her, El. This is a big deal for her, and I'm not going to break the news for her."
"Okay, then I'll go ask her myself." He huffed, and I nodded, but I knew Kora was probably going to be quiet. She didn't want to do it person by person, she wanted to tell everyone all together.

When I pulled into the driveway, Kora was running out of the front door with tears streaming down her cheeks, and Elliot was following behind, yelling. I parked the car and told the younger two to stay in the car, before running towards them.
"What the hell is happening?" I yelled, as the twins and Josie decided to join in.
"Dad's being a dick to Kora!" Noah yelled, and Josie grabbed his arm, so he wouldn't start hitting Elliot.
"She just came out to me!" Elliot yelled, and I sighed, as I ran my hands over my face.
"Elliot, what happened to accepting her? You said that as long as she wasn't breaking the law, we didn't have a problem." I spoke, and he eyed me.
"Out of all of our kids, I didn't expect it to be my baby!" He yelled.
"Hey!" Noah, Alison, and Josie said in unison, and I sighed. Kora walked towards me, and I pulled her into my arms.
"Alright, you three, go take the kids somewhere." I spoke, as I looked at the oldest three. They nodded hesitantly, and headed towards the car that was still running.
Once they pulled away, I pushed Kora away slightly, and kissed her forehead gently.
"Go to your room, alright? I'm going to talk to your father real quick." I spoke, and she sniffled as she nodded. I hugged her one last time, before she walked past her father.
I looked at Elliot, who had broken down when I wasn't paying attention. He had tears on his cheeks. He was upset, just like Kora. Both of their hearts were broken.
"El." I breathed, and he shook his head.
"Why did I react like that?" He whispered, and I walked towards him and pulled him into a hug. He held me close, and I thought as he cried.
He has become more emotional lately. He shows his emotions too, which I'm not complaining about, because it means he isn't bottling them up inside.
"Elliot, give her a few hours to calm down, and you take a few yourself. Once you both have sometime to clear your minds, you need to talk to her again. We don't want this to push her away, or make her feel like a mistake, because she isn't. She's still our baby girl, no matter what."

Kora had cried so much that night, that she made herself sick. And she still wasn't feeling better the next morning, so I stayed home with her. She laid in her bed, and slept till noon, and then woke up. I was looking up some more information on the Sergeant exam, and decided that was the best use of my time while she was sleeping.
"Mom?" She yawned, and I turned around and looked at her.
"Hey, Kora. How are you feeling, love?" I asked, and she shrugged as she sat up. She ran her hands through her hair, before looking for a hair tie. I grabbed one and carried it over to her, before sitting down on Charlie's bed.
"Did you at least sleep well?" I mused, and she nodded.
"Yeah, I guess. I feel like I could sleep for years..." She trailed off, and I saw fear in her beautiful eyes.
"Kora?" I asked, and she swallowed hard.
"This is how Aubrie felt after Bailey died. She never wanted to do anything but sleeping." She whispered, and I sighed softly.
"That doesn't mean you're depressed, Kora. You got sick last night, you are just tired." I replied, and she nodded slowly. She moved up and sat with her back against her headboard, and she looked down at her hands.
"But maybe I am... My father hates me, because I'm a lesbian." She spoke, and I shook my head.
"He was crying last night."
"What?" She replied, surprised.
"He hates himself for reacting like he did. He loves you, and wants you to be happy. It was just a huge shock to him. And honestly, and it was to me too. I just know how to be more sensitive about certain situation."
"So he doesn't hate me?" She asked, and I shook my head.
"He could never hate you, baby."

Elliot and Kora made up that night, and it was a great thing. It was making her feel more confident about it all. She even went on a date with Dakota the next night. And since that was all happening, I started to help Aubrie out.
Greg and her wanted to get married sooner rather than later, so that Aubrie's pregnancy wouldn't be as noticeable.
"Where do you want the ceremony?" I asked, as I sat down at my kitchen table, and slide a cup of tea towards Aubrie.
"At Grandma and Grandpa's. We already got their permission." Aubrie spoke, and I looked up at her.
"Honey, which set?" I replied, and she chuckled.
"Wise." She replied, and I nodded.
"Okay, sounds good." I smiled.
She looked over at me, as I wrote that down on a piece of paper in her binder, and she sighed kinda obnoxiously.
"What?" I asked, as I looked up at her.
"We need someone to officiate it." She spoke, and I nodded.
"It might be nice. Does Greg have anyone in mind?" I asked, and she nodded.
"We both do." She spoke.
"Cool, wanna tell me so you can start contacting them?"
"Will you?"
"What?"
"Will you be the one to marry us?"
