Lucia checked the computer one last time before screaming in anger. She knew that she should gone with that cocky bastard by the name Poe Dameron. Not that she actually cared about him, but because the mission was very important to ending this stupid war.
It was a joke to think that she'd actually care about anyone but herself anymore.
"Poe, come in, do you read me? Over." She waited patiently before rage overtook the girl who smashed the damn computer with her fist. Technicians waited to complain about the mess until she left. They scurried over to see if they could salvage what she broke.
They couldn't. Which marked that the fifth computer in three months that she had broken.
Lucia stalked around the base looking for General Leia, the one person she actually cared for in this hell forsaken life anymore, ignoring the throbbing pain in her hand. People cowered in fear as she walked by. It was as if they had their own Kylo Ren, not that they say that to the girls face.
"Leia!" She called out finally spotting the older woman. "Poe hasn't returned and isn't answering my calls," she informed the General with an irritated expression as she kicked some poor soul out of their seat. It was hers now. The man scrambled out of his seat running out of the room shaking in fear.
General Leia sighed at the brunette haired girl. She hasn't been the same since that night at the Jedi temple and it troubled her deeply. All she wanted was the best for the last Kenobi. "It is as if you care for the young man," Leia commented knowing her words would trouble Lucia.
Just like she expected, the girl made a face before kicking her feet up onto the nearest surface. "I don't care about anyone anymore, Leia. Besides you of course, but you knew that" she reminded her sighing heavily. "But this mission is very important."
"I know this is important and I trust for Poe to bring it back to us. He may be reckless, but you can always count on him," she told the young woman with a soft smile trying to ease the tension in the room. The room was almost clear now considering people could not stand being in the same area as Lucia.
It was something she noticed but never commented on. If they don't like her, fine, but she refuses to let that become a factor in letting Kylo Ren win. Lucia refused to look at Leia, she reminded her too much of the man she once loved.
"Tell you what, if he isn't back in three days then you can go looking for him," she told the girl before going to find some of the people that left the room. She paused at the doorway to look back at the young girl. "And get that bloody hand of yours fixed."
Lucia's face was always permanently in a scowl anymore. She never smiled or laughed, not even letting the corners of her mouth curve up. Leia had failed two children in her lifetime and it broke her heart.
She left out a sigh before tearing her eyes away from the girl. If she could take away all that pain she would, but she can't which just let the girl slowly become less of who she used to be.
