Every time the world flashed, all Kylo could see was Lucia. The sky around him was thick with clouds? He really couldn't tell. All he knew was that it was red and it reminded him of her.

I need to prove myself to the First Order. He thought to himself as he finally broke through the last of the red.

The planet was dark, only illuminating when lighting struck. When he landed on the grey gravel and stepped out, a chill went through him. It was unsettling, but that didn't stop him from moving forward. The world was vastly empty aside from one thing.

A colossal pyramid hovered above the ground, just enough for him to walk through. He was lucky. Any lower and he would have hit his head or would have crawled through it. Almost as if it was expecting him. Suddenly, the ground beneath him began to move downward making him wobble a bit.

"Kylo Ren, I've been waiting for you."

The voice was deep and echoed throughout the underground as Kylo stalked towards it. His saber was in his hand, though it was off currently. It wouldn't be hard to flick it on. He paused to find clones of Snoke, who was in pieces, in a container filled with liquid.

Palpatine was in control of every piece of his life in the Dark Side. It was him who was speaking to him all those years ago and controlled Snoke. He created Kylo Ren and every aspect of him.

"Don't be shy, boy. I want to see the one who killed the last Kenobi."

He flinched at that but moved forward past all the workers and various machinery. The man found himself in a vast and dark area, the only light coming from the lighting that never stopped.

Suddenly, a hooded figure flew out from the darkness. They were strapped to wires keeping them off of the ground. His hand reached out to him and he made note of how brittle he looked, but just as evil none of the less.

"Dear, boy. You have greatness inside of you. With the Last Kenobi gone, I have one more mission for you before you become a Sith Lord and rule the galaxy.," Palpatine hissed. Kylo figured it was him because who else would it have been? "Bring me the girl, Rey."

His Adam's apple quivered. "Why?"

"Because it is time for her to know the truth about her lineage. For her to embrace the joy of being my granddaughter. Then the three of us can conquer more than just this galaxy, but those surrounding it as well."

The world came to a halt to Kylo. Of course, Rey was his granddaughter, how could he have been so blind? All the signs were there. Her parents were nothing, but it seemed as if they chose for it to be that way.

He bowed. "I will bring the girl to you."

It felt wrong to say those words, but he left with the mission. His heart heavy.

"My love, don't do this."

He closed his eyes but walked right past Lucia, who stood there with her sad look. Since her death, all she does is appear whenever he was going to do something wrong.

Wrong. Huh. That was the first time he ever thought of it that way. He released a shaky breath as the floor began to ascend.

"Ben," she whispered sending a chill down his spine. Her lips brushed against his ear making this feel very real. He turned, the two of them having a staring contest before he brushed past her, hitting her shoulder on the way out.

She was dead. This wasn't real. He told himself as he booted up the ship. But it felt very real. Every time she appeared, he could touch her and smell her. It was driving him insane because all he wanted to do was kiss her.

But why would he kiss something that's not real?

There were people back at Star Killer base waiting to hear from him. Everyone was a buzz when Palpatine's transmission came over the radio and eagerly awaited Kylo Ren's return. He refused to disappoint, even if Lucia was whispering in his ear not to do it.

Even in death she still believed in him which made the gaping hole in his heart wider. He wished he could just disappoint her and get on with it. It certainly wasn't hard to do it when she was alive, so what was the difference now?

Poe and Finn stood there in an embrace as the sunset around them. They both missed Lucia deeply, but because of her death the two of them found out they couldn't hide their feelings anymore.

The base was in an uproar due to the transmission making everyone work hard to figure out where it came from. Well, almost everyone.

Leia has taken a step back from General, giving the title over to her brother who was training Rey. She just sat around staring into space, not talking to anyone. No one commented on it nor tried to force her out of it.

"Luke, who is Palpatine and why do you seem terrified?" Rey's shout made the lovers jump apart as the duo came into the clearing. By the look on the Master Jedi's face, this wasn't the first time she had asked him about it today.

He sighed motioning for the lovers to come over. "Palpatine is the man who created Vader - my father. He manipulated and twisted him until I killed him. Palpatine knows how to get under everyone's skin. There is no double in my mind that he already has Kylo Ren under his grip. He is in such a vulnerable place. I am worried about him."

"Why? He killed Lucia! He deserves any pain that he is feeling," Finn spat making Poe put his hand on his shoulder. "He's been painted as the victim all the time when he is the one who is destroying the world! How many people has he killed? Millions, Luke. So why should we bother saving him?"

Luke's face fell into one of unexpressed. It was a bit uneasy and made Finn wiggle.

"Listen here, Kid." All three of them took a step back. "He is the victim. The dark side is hard to fight. I should know. It tempted me more than once. Anyone can be saved and just because you have an opinion, doesn't mean you shouldn't try. There is more in this galaxy than you can even dream of thinking. And just a word of advice, don't say that in front of Leia. She will slice you in half."

On that note, he left the trio with the threat. Finn gulp and reached for Poe's hand.

"He has a point. You joined the Resistance," Rey commented shooting him a look.

"The difference is, I wasn't evil to begin with," Finn spat back.

Poe cleared his throat making the two look at him. "Neither was he."
