Everyone was in awe of Lucia as she was holding Palpatine back with only one hand. He was using two to try to hurt the girl, but it wasn't working.
Instead, she was locked in a gaze with Ben, the one she fell in love with.
Her heart was soaring because for just a little bit, she doubted that her and Luke's plan was going to work. But it did. And that's what was going to make this victory so, so sweet.
Slowly, she turned her head back to Palpatine, her smile dropping off. "You tried to take everything from me. This war is over, now," she hissed before throwing him across the dark abyss. "Take Rey and get her out of here," She commanded before walking down towards her prey.
"Kill me and you'll become the host of all the Sith's before you," He commented raising his hands making all the shadows reappear. Palpatine was baiting her earning a deep chuckle from the female.
"Don't you think that I know that? I've been studying you from the shadows all this time. You're not as strong as you think you are if you thought I was dead this whole time," She snapped, the force forming around her hands. "Hiding my presence was one of the easiest things I have done."
Palpatine snarled, but before he could attack her, she shot the force into the sky. The Resistance welcomed the assault as it began to break down the entire felt. Lucia let out a scream right as all the ships began exploding like fireworks in the sky.
Tears filled the Skywalkers Twins eyes as they watched the sky. This fight was finally over after all these years. And this time, it was going to stay over.
Lucia turned back to Palpatine, her eyes a bright red. Fear flashed on the Sith Lord's face as he tried to get away from her, but it was no use. She covered him in the force paralyzing any movement.
"You will never hurt another being again," she whispered before clenching her fist. Palpatine let out a terrifying scream, like an animal being tortured. Everyone on the ground turned to look at the scene before them, gasping when they saw him shrink smaller and smaller.
The girl then pulled out a jar before scooping Palpatine into it. "You are going to die in here," she whispered before tightening the lid. This way, no one has the Sith flowing through them.
Lucia closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath as ships began to land on the ground. Rey was quickly taken to the medical wing to figure out how badly Palpatine hurt her. People began to celebrate and as Lucia opened her eyes, they began to swarm her.
She welcomed it, but as she searched through the crowd, the one person she wanted to see was missing. Poe ran over and picked her up before spinning around as Finn ran up to them. The three of them embraced in a hug before Finn pulled Poe in for a kiss.
Lucia laughed and turned around. That's when she locked eyes with Ben. He was uncomfortable with the people talking to him - despite that he was on their side now. A wide smile formed on both of their faces.
That's when they ran towards one another, Ben picking her up and spinning around before their lips met in perfect harmony. People cheered as Leia leaned against Luke, a small tear slipping down her face. He put his arm around her as they watched the children they raised fall back into one another.
"I never meant to hurt you," he whispered after putting her down. His lips brushed against hers.
"It was what needed to happy, love. Don't worry about it. I'm here now, you are you again. That is what matters," she told him, her brown eyes shining. He couldn't help his heart soaring when she said that.
Everyone was cheering around them in slow motion as they stared into one another's eyes. All of those tough times led to this moment in time. Where their lips touched once more and their bodies craved one another.
Lives were lost, lives were saved, but that is the price of war. The Galaxy will be rebuilt stronger than ever and the New Order of Jedis will be trained by the three best Jedi's left.
"What do you say, old man? Ready to rebuild the Jedi Temple?" Lucia commented towards Luke as she and Ben walked back up to the twins.
He grumbled. "Let's wait a bit, yeah? Fighting took a lot out of me."
"You literally didn't do anything but swing your lightsaber a bit," Lucia commented with an incredulous look. Everyone laughed before departing to get off of this dreadful planet. People commented about how they would see them at the party.
Ben and Lucia had other ideas as they raced off in the opposite direction. It has been a long time since the two of them had time to talk and just be with one another. That's what they wanted before going to the party. Before beginning their new life together.
Because this time, nothing was going to stop them.

there will be an epilogue, I'm sorry the ending of the book is so short and rushed. but I love it. finishing this book means so much to me. i love Lucia and Bens story so much. they're one of my most favorite couples on this profile. which is also why I have 'Elysian' a sort of rewrite of this story as well as 'who killed Paige danver' over on my other profile. please check that out and stay tuned for the epilogue!
