Lucia made her way up the hill to where she found Rey arguing with a tired Luke. She could see all the fight had left him, but that was no excuse. He always told them fight until you were dead.
And to Lucia, he didn't seem dead.
"There is no light left in Kylo Ren. He's only getting stronger. The First Order will control all the major systems within weeks. We need your help. We need the Jedi Order back. We need Luke Skywalker."
"You don't need Luke Skywalker."
Lucia couldn't help but roll her eyes at that. "Did you not hear a word she just said? Luke, we wouldn't be here if we didn't need you!" She exclaimed stepping forward. "Why is it every man in my life disappears on me when I need them the most?" She snapped making him whirl around.
"You think what? I'm gonna walk out with a laser sword and face down the whole First Order? What did you think was going to happen here? Do you think that I came... To the most unfindable place in the galaxy for no reason at all? Go away!" He yelled before stomping off.
Rey huffed, yelled something, and then followed him around the mountain. Throughout the day, Lucia couldn't help but admire her for her stubbornness. It reminder her of her actually.
As the days went by, Lucia knew that they were just wasting their time. Rey would learn more if she would let her teach her instead of Luke. They would have a better chance as well.
On their fourth day, an excited Rey threw herself onto the Falcon scaring Lucia who was reading a random book she found. It must have been Han's.
"Luke's going to teach me. Just three lessons, but you should come with. Please!" Rey squealed throwing herself onto her knees. Lucia was in disbelief. She never thought this girl would have got through to him. Nor would she thought she'd ever get to see Luke in action once more.
"I wouldn't miss it."

The next day, bright and early, they found themselves in front of a disgruntled Luke. He didn't think Lucia would want to come along. But yet here they were. To the older female, Rey looked out of it. As if something happened last night.
She had met them late due to the odd sensations she was feeling last night. Pain. It consumed her heart making it hard to breath. Where it came from was a mystery, but she knew she didn't want to feel it again.
"Master Skywalker, we need you to bring the Jedi back because Kylo Ren is strong with the dark side of the Force. Without the Jedi, we won't stand a chance against him. Lucia has gone up in battle with him twice and fail."
Luke scoffed. "What do you know about the Force? And that's because she's weak. Lucia's emotions get the best of her."
Red twirled around his throat before cutting off his air flow. "Don't you dare talk to me about feelings. You're the one who pouted and ran off. I lost everything," she snarled before dropping him. Rey pretending it didn't happen.
"It's a power that Jedi have that lets them control people and make things float."
He finally regained his breath, shooting an angry looked at Lucia. "Impressive. Every word in that sentence was wrong. Lesson one, sit here, legs crossed. The Force is not a power you have. It's not about lifting rocks. It's the energy between all things, a tension, a balance, that binds the universe together."
Lucia sat down on the ground, inhaling a deep breath. Trying to connect herself to the force. It was a bit relaxing to her.
"Breathe. Just breathe. Reach out with your feelings. What do you see?"
Luke's voice to Rey sounded so far away, Lucia falling deeper into the force. She got sucked in, a cold spell pulsing through her body. The girl was stuck and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get out.
"And this is the lesson. That Force does not belong to the Jedi. To say that if the Jedi die, the light dies, is vanity. Can you feel that?"
She was scared. This darkness creeping up inside of her, it was nothing like she ever felt before. The dark before her flashed and suddenly she saw Ben Solo before her. He looked as he did before. A bright happy smile on his face, his Dark Side clothing replaced with a normal tunic and pants.
He held his hand out. "Lucia, come with me."
Suddenly, it all disappeared, her falling onto the ground. Luke was looking at her, fear in his eyes. "I've seen this raw strength only once before, in Ben Solo. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now," he commented, but the girls weren't sure who he was talking about.
"Rey, you need to learn to control it. Lucia, you need to learn to stop feeling. The darkness is playing on your emotions, consuming you. I've never feared what you could do before. You've always been powerful, but this is something more."
Lukes words scared her. How was she supposed to cut off her emotions? As a training Jedi, that was one of the hardest things she had to do. To this day - clearly - she hasn't mastered it.
"H-how? How do I cut off feeling? That is every part of my being," she reminded him scrambling up from her spot.
He sighed before pulling the girl into a tight hug. "I know, but that is how the Dark Side is getting to you. It is the first thing I taught you. Allowing Ben Solo in, it is going to kill you."
The tear ran freely down to his robe. That father-daughter bond sparking between them once more. Lucia knew he was right, and slowly pulled herself away from him. Backing away, the two of them didn't lose eye contact.
She quickly turned around and ran up the side of the mountain, using the force to propel her forward. There was a cave, tucked away where she paused to catch her breath.
A loud scream escaped her lips. Lucia was done with the back and forth, with trying to prove herself to people. She was tired of these emotions and the dark side. She was tired of pretending to herself and others that her love for Ben Solo was gone.
Igniting her lightsaber, she began cutting through stands of rocks to get her anger out. Anger was the last thing needed right now, if she was going to try to stop feeling.
But how do you stop when you were so frustrated with yourself.
Lucia put her saber away before venturing down further into the cave, becoming blind. The darkness was around her, emitting evil. Lucia was not going to allow it to consume her. Here, she felt more close to the dark side of the force.
It was here where she was going to win her battle.
