"Hun, stop stressing." Shawn told me as he entered the living room.
We had just arrived home from picking the venue for the wedding and I was absolutely exhausted, and stress was eating me alive.
"Shawn, I just want everything to be perfect." I told him once he had taken a seat on the black leather couch beside me.
He grabbed the TV remote from me and clicked it off.
"Darling, it is going to be perfect and before you know it we will finally be married." He told me with a silly grin.
I brought my hand up to his face and gently traced up his jawline with my fingertips.
"I'm just glad you've made up with your Mom at this point, it would have been hard on you if she wasn't apart of all of this." He told me, I dropped my hand from his face and stared over his shoulder.
"Ya, but then again I feel like there's always going to be apart of me that will never forgive her." I told him quietly, I felt his hands land on mine and he entwined our fingers together.
"It was difficult, I wish I could erase all of those painful memories, or even take them from you so you wouldn't have to live with them." Shawn told me gently, I met his hazel chocolate eyes and smiled.
"What did I ever do to deserve you?" I questioned, he chuckled and leaned in to kiss my forehead.
"I'm going to have to ask the same." He laughed once he pulled away from me.
"I can't wait for the future." I told him slowly, he let go of my hands and scooted to sit on the side of me.
He positioned himself so he could wrap his arms around me and pulled me close.
I rested my head on his shoulder and breathed in his scent.
"Where do you see us in the future?" I asked him almost in a whisper, he sighed, but I knew he was smiling.
"Honestly a few kids, living in a decent sized home still in Canada. I'll continue to sing, and you'll find something you love. I do know for sure that we will be happy." He told me sincerely, butterflies were released in my stomach at his lovely words.
"How does that sound?" He asked after a few moments had passed, I lifted my head to look up at him.
"I think it sounds wonderful." I told him, I kissed his neck lightly a few times before resting back on his shoulder.
The wedding was going to be there before we knew it, and I couldn't wait to marry my best friend any longer.
