Scarlett

"Good morning beautiful."

Shawn sighed, I rolled over to face him.

Sunlight crept out of our curtains and rays of light danced upon Shawn's pale face.

I smiled after meeting his chocolate hazel eyes.

"Today's the day baby..."

He whispered ever so softly, my heart skipped a beat at his words.

I would be marrying the love of my life within hours, so close, yet so far away.

"I can't believe that it's actually happening."

I told him softly.

He grinned his goofy smiled and pulled me closer.

"Hey don't think you're getting a kiss!"

I giggled out, his morning breath hit my senses moments later.

I quickly sat up from the bed and he followed shortly after.

"Where are you going hun, come back."

Shawn sighed, I giggled and quickly crawled out of bed.

"Brush your teeth Mendes!"

I laughed out as I hurried for the bathroom.

I heard Shawn sigh and collapse back onto our bed.

"You're mean!"

He called, I giggled on and closed the bathroom door behind me.

Before I knew it I had my back against my door, I could feel the woods cool surface pressed lightly to my back as I slid down to sit on the floor.

My breathing began to grow uneven and my heartrate began to rise.

I felt as if walls were caving in around me.

I had waited so long for this day to finally be here, and now that it was here, I couldn't help, but feel tense and on edge.

After gathering myself, I stood from the bathroom floor and headed for the sink.

"Love?"

Shawn knocked quietly on the bathroom door, I glanced over my shoulder and watched as he entered.

"Are you okay?"

He asked after he closed the door behind him, I nodded towards him and he nervously smiled over at me.

"I can't wait for you to finally be my wife."

He told me shyly, I giggled and allowed him to take my hands in his.

He began to lean in, I knew he wasn't going to give up that easily on a kiss.

"Scarlett, Shawn?"

I heard my grandma call from somewhere close by in the apartment.

I was saved!

I pulled away from Shawn and left the bathroom to see my grandma Johnson peering in through our cracked bedroom door.

"Hi sweetie, I was told to come grab you! It's time to start getting ready for your big day!"

She gushed, I smiled and glanced over my shoulder to see Shawn smiling in at me.

"I'll see you soon."

He promised me, I nodded with a smile before leaving the room with my grandma.
