Shawn

"I beg of the heavens above that you aren't as picky as you were with the cake!"

Scarlett told me as she climbed out of the Jeep while I held her door open for her.

I grinned and gently slid my hand into hers after I had closed the car door lightly behind her.

We had ended up at a garden someplace off the outskirts of Toronto, and it seemed to be a popular place to have weddings and receptions.

I didn't really care where we got married, I just wanted to be married.

The wedding was approaching fast, and I just couldn't wait any longer.

"Shawn?"

Scarlett questioned, I then realized that she was waving her hand in front of my face.

"Oh sorry darling, just got lost in thought."

I told her with a light smile, she gently squeezed my hand and pointed to a stage off in the distance.

"We haven't really talked about it, but honey I think you should sing at the reception..."

She told me after a moment had passed, my eyes studied the green field that rested in front of the decently sized stage.

"Really, don't you want like your favorite singer or something?"

I questioned with my eyebrows raised, she giggled.

"Do you even know me at all Mendes?"

She asked with a laugh, I smiled and could feel my cheeks beginning to turn red.

"You are my favorite singer, and always will be."

She whispered, after that I knew for a fact that my face was tomato red.

"So what do you think?"

She asked, she had led me over to a wooden bench and we took a seat before I spoke.

"Well, I know that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you-"

She quickly cut me off.

"No silly of the venue!"

She giggled out, I smiled and shook my head.

"I know, let me finish!"

I told her with my best grin, I ran a hand through my brown locks before I continued.

"Honey, I don't care where we get married. I honestly probably won't even remember what the venue looks like, cause I already know that my eyes won't be leaving you the entire day."

I told her, it was then her turn for her cheeks to turn a shade darker.

"Oh Mendes, why do you have to be so sweet?"

She asked, next thing I knew her lips were on mine for a short moment, but she quickly pulled back.

"I'm glad you like it, cause I already reserved it!"

She giggled out, I laughed along with her and kissed her cheek lightly as her eyes drifted back over to the stage.

"Were you serious about me singing?"

I questioned her after a short moment.

She turned to look at me again and blushed.

"Yes, I plan on eating my cheesecake, sitting in my wedding dress in front row singing along to every word that comes out of your beautiful mouth."

She told me with a slight smirk, I laughed loudly and leaned into kiss her once more.

Everything was falling into place, we only had a few things left to do before the big day, and I couldn't be any happier.

Sorry took me awhile there!
