Edwin and I walk our daughter to the park as she giggles laughing as we get there and sit on the bench

"Go ahead and go play Chrissy"I said smiling as she ran off to play and we watch her

"Y/n she's getting older and I don't think she'd understand why aren't her parents together"He said

"Edwin–We are not doing this don't even try bringing this up she'll know why when she's older"I said slightly irritated

"Y/n why–just tell me why?"He said as he turned me to him

"You know exactly why we aren't together– I tried Edwin I fucking tried with you, you're drinking habits were so terrible every time you got drunk you cheated on me and the worst thing is you brought the hoes to our house!"I whispered yelled pissed as tears were ready to fall

"Mama look at me!!"I heard Chrissy yell as I looked at her at the top of the slide

"Wow baby good job slide down now"I said smiling as she slid down and ran off playing again as some little girls came over to the park as they played

"Y/n I'm sorry for what I did I–I can't take it back but I've been working hard and fighting for you I've been to rehab and I haven't been with any other woman in years I've been working so hard for both of you"He said as I heard his voice lightly crack

"Edwin that was the worst year of my life and it left me hurt and broken trusting you now Is such a hard thing to do–I couldn't possibly bring you back after that when she gets older I'll tell her why we are like this. You will still be full time in her life"I said breathing in lightly

"And yours?"He said

"Not at all"I said and got up

"Chrissy cmon say bye to your friends we are gonna get ice cream"I said as her eyes lit up as she waved to them and ran over into my arms smiling

"Say bye to daddy"I said and she gave him a hug and a kiss

"Bye daddy"She said as we walked off as I felt his eyes on us

Things will never be the same with Edwin or our family
