I come from from work as I head crying upstairs

"Zia!"I said as I went upstairs to her room and opened the door seeing her curled up on her bed

"Baby girl what's wrong?"I asked her sitting on her bed

"It's nothing dad don't worry about it..If I tell you you're just gonna overreact anyways"She said sniffling as the tears fell and she sat up

I put my arm around her holding her

"Cmon I promise I won't get mad just tell me what's wrong princess I hate seeing you sad"I said comforting her

"Well I f-found out that Darren was cheating on me"She said as she started crying again as I held her as my blood boiled

"I swear I'm gonna kill that bitch boy!"I said

"No calm down see this is why I didn't wanna say anything"She said sniffling

"It's alright princess, I'm sorry I'm just really protective over you and I hate when someone hurts you or your mom you two mean so much to me you can't blame me for caring for you princess"I said nodding

"I guess you're right"She said

"Cmon you don't need him princess, You are beautiful, smart and funny, creative and talented you don't need to be sad over an asshole that doesn't deserve you. How about we go meet your mom for some ice cream"I said smiling as she grinned

"You're right dad and let's go"She said smiling and stood up

"Aww my 16 year old baby isn't too old for dad and Mama time aww"I said standing as I hugged her happily

"You are so crazy"She said laughing

We left out and met up with Y/n and ate ice cream I'm so glad I can be here for her no matter what
