Chapter 2: Work

Yugi was preparing a 'special' breakfast for Luna and Yami. Luna was upstairs getting ready for her hair appointment for this afternoon as she doing the finishing touches for her outfit she sniffs out that something is burning "Is Yugi cooking?" She thought, she quickly went downstairs towards the kitchen, to her assumption was correct since the fire alarm went off "Oh, shoot" Yugi said out loud as he grab a stool and a broom. Yugi was trying to clear the smoke "Yugi what happened ." Luna screamed through the alarm "Trying to make breakfast." Yugi yelled back . Luna went up and grabbed the fire alarm and took out the batteries "Thanks"Yugi sighed as he wipped the bead of sweat from his forehead "How in the world you haven't starved yourself." Luna said as she dumped out the burnt food "Yami would usually cook." He said "Well how about I cook and you get the table ready." Luna said washing her hands "Good idea." Yugi said. The doorbell went off "Yami must be here." Yugi mumbles, he speed walks to the door "I hope Yami is in the mood for some pancakes." Luna thought preparing the pancakes she heard the house phone go off "Also need to remind Yugi to get rid of that blasted thing nobody uses a house phone it's all about cellphones." She said out loud.
Luna:Hello? ?: Uh is this Luna Muto? Luna: Yes and who is this.
?: Ah, yes this is Kaiba Corp central office (KCC) and we have your application form to take on the secretary position is this correct. Luna: Yes that is correct. KCC: Well we would like for you to come at Kaiba Corp tomorrow morning to get an interview to get the position.
Luna: Alright thank you.Good bye.
KCC: Alright good bye ma'am.
After Luna hung up the phone when she turned around to prepare pancakes she found two peeking heads "Alright you two come out before I force you out." Luna threatens as she set down the pancakes "You applied to Kaiba corp Luna?" Yugi asked "I thought you hated Kaiba what made you change your mind." Yami said as he sat down to eat his pancakes "They had a job opening for secretary maybe I could use the extra money to help pay the bills " Luna said as she grabbed a pitcher of orange juice "Wait you aren't going to work at the game shop?" Yugi pouts, he poured himself some orange juice "Yeah this job is a part time while I work at day I take the night shift right here that way you can have some free time at night." Luna explains, she sits down with a cup of tea "Oh okay" Yugi said with a disappointment tone. Luna hates to see her little brother disappointed she thought of something that could cheer him "Hey after my hair appointment you and I could close up shop and the three of us hang out for the rest of the day. What do you say sounds fun?" Luna said hoping that he would say yes. It took him awhile to think about it even had to look at Yami for help, but Yami just shrugged ".....Yeah" Yugi said Luna quickly turned around and silently cheered Yugi and Yami chuckled at her enthusiasm "Okay well I better get going before I'm late, see you guys later." Luna said grabbing her purse, keys, and coat.
Time skip
Luna POV
"Finally that took forever, hopefully Yugi and Yami weren't having any trouble with the shop today." I thought. As I was going to my car I hear a familiar Brooklyn accent "Luna is dat you."  I turn around to find Joey, he looks more mature since the last time I saw him, he got a bit of muscle, his hair looks a bit trimmed down, overall it looked like he went through puberty twice "Wow look who grew up Mr.Joseph." I whistled, I leaned against my car "Neh, you look different to Luna I mean you almost look like Yami's twin sister Eliza." Joey said. Eliza, I haven't heard that name in 5 years Eliza and I were childhood best friends we were very close up until Eliza decided to start a fashion company. Eliza and I would try keep in touch, but quickly she started to get busy soon we started loosing touch sometimes I wonder how she is doing "Just because we have the same hairstyle ." I said sarcastically "Yeah, kind of but anyways how are you doing?" Joey asked "I have been doing great just on break." I responded "You still trying to become a pro duelist?" I asked he giggled nervously "Yeh, but for right now I'ma trying to get a degree as a lawyer. Actually today is my off-day from school ." Joey sighed "I didn't know you were into politics Joey, I've always assumed you would become a duelist." I responded " It's just something I've always kept to myself I didn't want people to find out." Joey explains as he puts his hands into his jean pockets. I looked at the clock and realized I'm going to be late if I don't leave right now "Sorry Joey I gotta go I'm going to be late and it was good seeing you again." I said as I started up my car "Nice seeing you too Luna tell Yugi and Yami I said hi." Joey said as he waved "I will." I yelled.
As soon as I park my car I ran up to the door "There you are Luna what took you so long." Yugi asked as he was putting away some boxes "I ran into Joey after my appointment, you never told me he was aspiring to be lawyer." I said "Well he told us not to tell anybody." Yugi said he clapping his hands clean.
We finally closed up the shop  to get ready.I decided to wear something comfortable, I wore a yellow cut out shirt, with a navy blue jean shorts, and my gladiator boots I put my hair up in a half pony tail. Yami came out with a white shirt along with a black leather jacket combined with grey skinny jeans with a few leather bracelets and a Stainless Steel Blue Sandstone Crystal Pendant Necklace that hung above below his chest.

(This is Yami's necklace this was the manliest thing I could find also this looks like something would wear in my opinion 😅)

The only person we were waiting for was Yugi "So Luna how was your trip to Egypt like" Yami said as he was trying to start a conversation while we wait for Yugi to finish "Egypt was.......extraordinary I mean beside the fact that there was no hair salon that could touch up my hair." I said as I remember my times in Egypt "Well that explains your brown hair." He mumbled I simply rolled my eyes " The pyramids they were incredible the Egyptian text was astonishing I might need your help to understand what they wrote." I said as I took out my phone to show him the pictures. Yami's parents come from Egypt so he knows a thing or two about hieroglyphics "Alright I'm ready." Yugi yelled coming downstairs . He wore a white tank top that made his body look a little bit musculant even though he doesn't lift he accompanied his shirt with black shorts and his black vans "Seriously Yugi it took you that long to get ready." I complained"hehe sorry Luna I couldn't decide what to wear." Yugi said as he blushed a little.
We took Yami's car since my car is brand new and me being apprehensive of bringing it out to where we are going for the rest of the day.
It took us a while for us to get to my surprise location I had to force Yugi and Yami to cover their eyes so that way it would be extra special "Alright you can open your eyes now." I said in the backseat was a sudden gasp "Luna is this Domino City Duelist festival." Yugi whispered yelled "Yep, Pegasus mailed me the tickets two months ago." I said as I grabbed my stuff "This is incredible I heard only the most prestigious Duelist are invited." Yami said as he took in the view "Pegasus was going to send you two tickets but I told him I was coming back there soon so he gave me your tickets." I explain .
The event was incredible. There were booths were you can get ultra rare card, small tournament, and more. As we were walking around my phone rang I looked at the caller ID I looked up to see where Yami and Yugi were heading then I quickly snuck into a closed building. I looked around to make sure it was truly abandoned I answered the phone

Luna: Yes
?: Agent Luna we need your help once again
Luna: Cheif I thought I told you I'm retired.
Cheif: We need you to get out of retirement for this one.
Luna:.....Fine what's the mission.
