Chapter 24: Light

I haven't done a Yugi and Yami chapter in a longtime. Let's take a break from Luna for this chapter😁.
Yugi POV
After the doctor leaves the room. Everyone decided that they should start heading out since it was so late and some how Joey was able to convince Luna to leave "Alright fine but I'm coming back in the morning to get the paperwork and the appointment done." Luna says before she is being dragged out of my room. Now it's just Yami and I "Isn't it great love, you finally leaving here." Yami exclaims like a little kid "Yeah I'm glad I can finally ditch these clothes." I complain. Yami chuckles a bit then he gives me a small smile "What" I ask "Nothing just appreciating your pretty face." Yami says. I feel my face instantly go red "My Ra, you are so freaking cheesy." I whine as I cover my face with my blanket "Quit being a baby, you are stuck with me." He says as he tries to get the blanket off my face. I don't loosen my grip on the blanket, but very quickly I was in deep trouble Yami starts tickling my sides which make me loose grip he takes the opportunity to rip the blanket off my face and continues to tickle me "Yami- hahaha-s-stop-haha- it."I try to say, but Yami won't stop tickling me soon he leans in too far and now he's on top of me I'm heaving with laughter I don't pay attention that Yami was literally on top of me and only an inch away away from me. I slowly die down I look up to see his gorgeous red crimson eyes staring down at my amethyst. My lamp has an orange tint to it which makes his look like a beautiful sunset. He then looks down only a centimeter and starts to lean in and close his eyes, I do the same thing as well. I missed his soft mint lips soon I start feel little droplets on my face as soon as I open my eyes I find Yami silently crying, I slowly pull away "Yami? Whats wrong?" I ask him with concern. He continues to cry silently until "S-sorry Yugi." Yami sniffles " Ai, its fine, but whats wrong?" I say as I use my thumb to dry off his tears "It's just that." He starts and gets into a sitting position back facing towards me "The day when I found you on the floor unconscious, I was scared. I thought I lost you Yugi. I thought I was never going to have the chance to see you everyday or get to see your gorgeous smile, your cute laugh, or your dreamy amethyst eyes." Yami says "You don't understand how much you mean to me. You are the light to my dark. You are my world Yugi. Without you in my life then there is no meaning of life." Yami added. Usually Yami isn't the one to get all emotional, but this time it seems different like he isn't just telling me that he loves me and that's that he was honestly scared. I move a bit and hug him from behind he tenses a bit but quickly relaxes "You can't get rid of me that easily I'll always be here with you." I say I kiss him on the cheek "I love you." I say "I love you too." Yami says. A few hours later Yami is sound asleep on the couch while I'm still awake. I can't help, but think what he said earlier. I don't know what I did to deserve a guy like me most days I think he would be more happy with someone else, but he chose me. As he said I'm the light to his darkness, but he is my universe he is my life, almost like he is another soul living inside of me. I look at him I smile a bit as I am grateful to have this man in my life.
