Chapter 18: Everythig is not okay

Luna POV
"Would you like to stay for dinner I could heat up the Mac and Cheese you made." Kaiba asked. I thought I miss heard him then I looked at him he had a very serious face "oh he is serious." I thought "Oh uh sure." I said in all honesty I was hungry and I was so busy with helping Mokuba I didn't grab a bite. That's when I remembered I have to head back to head quarters do run down my suspects list and my physical done as well. I can't really stay here long so I have to come up with a believable excuse to leave early. I waited on the dining table as he went to heat up dinner I checked on my phone to find three missed calls from Yugi , 29 messages, and 10 voice mails. I hope nothing bad happens I go to my voice mails and open of them
"Luna this is Yami some one broke into the shop and Yugi got hurt really badly the police are here and we are being taken to the hospital hurry please call back"
Yami's voice was shaking and having a few voice cracks here and there. I can feel the air leaving my body, I quickly got up and went to grab my stuff "What's going on." Kaiba asked as he came through with two bowls of steaming hot Mac and cheese "Yugi is at the hospital." I said without sparing him a glance "Wait let me at least drive you there." He said as he quickly got his keys to his car.
Everything seemed to go by a blur in a second I was sitting in Kaiba's car. It's quiet through the ride "Quit shaking your leg." Kaiba commands I look down to find my leg shaking I didn't even noticed I was doing it. I look out of window all I see is shadows of the trees "Everything is going to be fine you know that right." Kaiba says trying to comfort me I look at him but I say nothing. We continue driving in silence suddenly my phone starts buzzing it was Yami this time
Yami: Luna!? Where are you
Luna: Sorry my phone was on silent I was at Kaiba's place
Yami: Wait What you know what never mind I'll ask later are you close
Luna: I'm almost there how's Yugi is he okay!??
Yami: Don't know they won't tell me. This is making me worry.
Luna: Your telling me! I'll be there very soon.
I said I hung up the phone put my hands on my face and groaned "How is he?" Kaiba asked "I don't know." I said as I looked back at my window. I can feel my breath quicken. It feels as though I'm being suffocated "Luna! Just breath everything is going to be okay." Kaiba tries to comfort me he gently places his hand on my shoulder trying to get my breathing normal.
I soon see the bright red hospital sign. Kaiba parks the car but he stops me from leaving the car "Are you gonna be okay?" He asks "Ill be fine." I said as I got out of his car and speed walked to the front door I hear Kaiba calling me its faint but right now my mind is racing the only thing I'm thinking of is Yugi. I walk into the lounge I find Yami sitting He then turned and faced me I immediately walked towards him "Thank goodness you came." Yami said he hugged me I hugged him as I leaned back I noticed his eyes were red and puffy from crying. I didn't give attention of his well being I quickly went to the front desk "How can I help you?" The lady at the front desk asks me "I'm here to see a Yugi Mutou." I say. The lady looked like she about to slap me "Am sorry but only family members are allowed only not some crazy fan girl." She said. I immediately got furious and got up in her face and said "Listen here I'm not in the mood to deal with this kind of attitude I am his sister unless you let me in and see him you will be regret it." I said in a threatening voice I then felt a hand on my shoulder I look back to see it was Kaiba's hand he then got i front of me "Can you just let the three of us go to see him." He asked more politely "S-sure r-room 102." She quivered. I look back at Yami and signal him to come with us he stood up very quickly.
We opened the door to find a nurse with a clipboard "Can I help you?" The nurse asked us Yami immediately ran to Yugi side (A/N from Luna and Kaiba point of view they just see the legs but they know it's Yugi) He then started crying "I'm sorry but who is this." The nurse asked "That's his boyfriend." Kaiba answered and then she asked us "And who are you two." "I'm his sister." I said trying to keep my voice even "And I'm an acquaintance." Kaiba said "Alright you three can stay but one of you must leave the room very soon." She said she then walks right passed us I slowly make my way to Yugi's side and what I see just broke my heart into a million pieces
Kaiba POV
Ms.Mutou slowly makes her go way to her brother's bed side. I and what I saw made feel like a stick snap into a million pieces it didn't feel right to see her not smile it was abnormal. I then walked to where she was. I saw was a broken Yugi Mutou, his face was just filled with cuts and bruises some, his forearm was wrapped up, and he was very pale. I look over at Ms.Mutou to not find her in the slightest sad or angered more like emotionless. Suddenly we hear the door open we see an old man with a tux "Luna Mutou we wish to speak to you." He said "Ill be back." She said then left Yami and I alone with Yugi "Yugi please please wake up." Yami sobbed and all I could do was just stand there and watch
Luna POV
I quickly followed Chief out of the hospital he gave me my dog tag so I can fill access at the scene where Yugi got hurt. I got into the black van and we drove to my home. As soon as we reached there the game shop was surrounded with police tape and few police officers were there patrolling the area as soon as  I got off the van I quickly showed the police officers my dog tag and they let me in. The inside was just just so.....destroyed. The shelves completely scattered across the floor and the glass cabinets shattered. I then went up stairs to see damage, our living room trashed the tv completely broken and shattered the tables smashed our lamps thrown across the room. As I continued walking I stepped on something that broke underneath me I lift off my foot to a find a picture frame of grandpa,Yugi, and me all of us happy and smiling. I gently pick it up some of the glass fell of the frame but the picture still looked in pretty good shape.
I went to Yugi's room and just like the game shop and just like the living room his room was destroyed his belongings either torn or broken there were clear signs of struggle in this room like the scratches on the floor and how messy the bed is. I quickly then entered my room to find it even worse my bed flipped upside down, my desk smashed, my shelves thrown into the window and my pictures burned. I went to my closest to see if anyone went to my secret room and surely no one got in the door doesn't look like it's been forced in and the key is with me but just to make sure I checked on my phone to see the security cameras that I have installed many years ago. The security cameras seem like they haven't been tampered with which that is good so far nobody has entered my secret room. I stepped outside to see the chief talking to the police officer I walk out of the scene and sit beside the van. I hear footsteps coming towards my direction I look up to see the Chief "Well agent Luna right now the officers don't have any evidence to see who did this so they are letting us take on this case." He said I don't say anything my mind is only thinking about Yugi "I think it's best if you and Yugi stay somewhere else I'm going to let someone else from the agency to take on this case." He continued I perk up "Why don't you let me take on this case it's obvious they attacked my brother for a reason right. Besides it's my fault that my brother got hurt." I said "agent Luna your no longer registered as a spy you can't take on these kinds of assignments the only reason you were forced out is because you are the only the person that I could think of that could pull it off I had to convince the government to let you did this." He said "And besides you have a brother to care of." He added. Unfortunately he's right I can't get myself in dangerous situations when my brother needs me. The Chief let me reschedule my physical and do my suspect list at home he then drives me back to the hospital.
I go back to the hospital room to find Yami passed out on Yugi's bedside and Kaiba sitting with his  computer probably doing more work. I quietly close the door Kaiba looks up "What took you so long?" He asks "I was talking to the police officers." I said I walk towards my brother he is still asleep "How is he?" I asked "Well the nurse said that he just has a couple of stitches no serious damage he is just unconscious he should wake up tomorrow morning." Kaiba said while working on his computer. I sit down next I him "Thanks for staying." I said " I don't know what you mean." He said "Really" I thought "So what's going to happen now." He asked "Well I gotta find a place for us to stay up until the police give us the okay to go back." I said "Well why don't you stay with me and Yugi stays with Yami." Kaiba said.
