Chapter 11: Recovering

Luna POV
It's been a few days since I've been released from the hospital I've decided since I'm not going to Kaiba Corp till Monday might as well work at the game shop. So far I have been working at the register because of Yugi. I love him with all of my heart but he is being a bit over protective. I can't lift anything up with my back without Yugi screaming at me or help out putting up boxes before I get pushed into the bed to "rest" or whatever. I was playing a game on my phone business is slow since kids have school on Thursdays I hear the door bell ring I put my phone down to see Evan "Oh my Ra your okay, how do you feel? Why haven't you been at work lately? Does your back hurt at all?" Evan said as he bombarded questions at "Evan I'm fine, Kaiba told me I couldn't come back to work until Monday, and no back is just sore." I answered. He sighed in relif "Few for a moment I thought you were fired." Evan said as wiped his forehead "Anyways are you going to the ball right."? Evan asked "Yeah." I responded "What dress your going to wear." He asked again to be honest I was going to wear something simple and comfortable "I'm going to wear one of my old dresses." I said his face suddenly went in horror "Oh no no no honey you can't wear an old dress this is a formal ball everyone is going all out for this one." Evan said "Well it's not like I can go the store and get a dress I bet they are sold out of dresses that I would like to wear." I said trying to find an excuse of not going shopping "I know someone that can help with that dilemma." Evan said with a smirk I suddenly get a feeling that I have no option "You, me we are going out tomorrow ." Evan said as he pointed him and I. We chit-chat for a while Evan had to go since his lunch break was over. Again the door rings I look up to.see Yugi coming back from school "So how are you feeling." Yugi asked "Just sore." I responded "Oh and also I won't be here tomorrow." I said as I slowly rise up from my seat "Okay just as long it has nothing to do with your back." Yugi said as he went upstairs. I walk towards the door to put up the closing sign and head upstairs for some food I heard Yugi placing a pizza order which is great since we both don't need our house to burn down. I go into my room and shut the door I grab my computer. A few days ago I asked the chief if he could get video footage from my beat down. I open the file he sent me to see the guy holding Mokuba the poor kid is doing everything in his power to get him to loose his grip I pause the video to find anything of why this bozo would hurt Kaiba's little brother and I did. I take a look at the video to see a symbol on the guy's jacket I quickly do a scan on the logo the results show me a another gaming company Gaming Inc the boss is unknown but both companies work with duel monsters the only difference is this Gaming Inc didn't open not that too long ago. I put this information in a file and leave it at that.
Time Skip to tomorrow morning
I wake up to the sound of my stupid alarm "Ugh, shut up" I mumbled. I get up from my bed and walk to the kitchen to get some breakfast I bring my phone with me so I can check my emails when I get a text from Evan
Evan: I'm heading over to your place in 5 be ready☺.
I gently place my phone down as make my breakfast as I think how I got myself into this situation. After I've made myself some toast with nutella and finished it I went upstairs to get ready for Evan's visit. I didn't do much I just putn on a plain shirt with dark jeans fixed my hair into a messy bun. I head downstairs to watch the news. I hear footsteps coming down to the living room "Morning." Yugi said as he walked to the couch and plopped on the couch "You look like you haven't slept in days you okay." I asked. This morning Yugi had dark circles under his eyes not to mention that his eyes were red and puffy, his hair was all over the place, he is usually a morning person and now he's like drowsy and depressed. "I had those dreams again." Yugi responded as he shifted his body away from me. Sometimes Yugi would have dreams that relive grandpa's death sometimes it show the memory or make the memories worse as it is Yugi and I refer to those dreams. " Oh what was it about this time." I asked "It showed grandpa on the hospital bed with the heart monitor beeping then it quickly change to the court room were you signed papers that made you unofficially my sister and then you sended me to a mental hospital Yami broke up with me cause he couldn't handle being the boyfriend of a crazy person." Yugi said. These dreams were getting worse and worse each time I feel bad for him "Well tonight before you go to sleep make sure to take your medications." I said Yugi said nothing in respond I knew if he heard what I said. The door bell rang I got up since I at least look presentable this morning I answered the door to find Evan "Ready to go Luna." Evan asked I nodded and grabbed my purse "Yugi I'll be back." I yelled and closed the door. Evan and I decided to take my car since it's already got checked but he got to drive it he told me to close my eyes which I did,but I did get yelled at for peeking. "Okay were here" Evan said I slowly open my eyes to find a little wooden shop with a neon pink sign that read Tina's Fabulously Shop. Evan then grabbed my hand and dragged me inside of the shop "Tina I'm here and with a customer!" Evan yelled I took a look of my surroundings the shop looked pretty small yet in the inside is quite homey there was a tri fold mirrors with a podium in front of them, there were rolls of fabric of many colors and textures, and all kinds of interesting design. A loud thud was heard from the back of the shop "Did you say customer." Some one yelled. Soon someone fell out of the back door "Tina there you are you know if you cleaned this shop you wouldn't be falling." Evan scolded "Oh hush" a women with chocolate brown skin said as she dusted her self off the lady looked quite fashionable she had royal blue hair, dark green emerald eyes, she wore pink glasses, she wore a floral pink cardigan with a simple with shirt, a military green skirt, and cute brown booties "Oh my finally a girl." She said as she got up close to me "Not to mention with absolutely gorgeous amethyst eyes." She said as she took a closer look of my eyes "Uh well they aren't that gorgeous like my brother's his eyes are more purple than mine." I said as backed away from her a little "Oh now I just need to meet this brother of yours but not right now Evan told me that you need a dress for the ball that is happening next week." She said then she put her hands up "Oh my where are my manners my name is Tina." Tina introduced herself "Luna" I responded her jaw dropped "Luna as Luna Mutou the Queen of Duel monsters the Luna." Tina said as her eyes went all tinkling "Former Queen I've gave that title up." I said as I backed away from her "Your even more perfect in person gahh I can't believe I'm going to design a dress for the Luna Mutou." Tina squealed in excitement as she flung me over the podium and then took measurements "Tina be careful with her she just got released from the hospital." Evan said "Oh, I thought you were talking about another girl who's name was also Luna." Tina said as she quickly jotted down the measurements in her neon yellow journal "I know just the perfect color will go perfectly with your hair and eyes let me quickly get it." Tina said as she dropped her journal and rushed towards her backroom "Sorry about Tina she usually doesn't get that many girls in her shop." Evan said "No,no it's no problem besides she is very spontaneous." I said and with that she came back with a handful of different tones of blue fabrics. She quickly set them all down and one by one she held a piece of fabric up to my face until she found periwinkle fabric "Perfect, let me get this I'll be right back." Tina said as she went back to the backroom. We waited for another five minutes to see her bringing rolls and rolls of periwinkle fabric many different textures and a box to where I was standing "Can you stand very still for me if you need any breaks just let me know." Tina said as she grabbed a silk periwinkle and surrounded it around the waist and pinned it together so it doesn't just fall. She quickly grabbed a marked and dotted the fabric. Once she was done she put the fabric on a maniquen she repeated the same process only using the other texture fabric and did it all over my body it took the whole morning and a little bit of the afternoon "Okay you guys can go and get some lunch I should have this dress ready for you tomorrow afternoon." Tina said as she put away her supplies "Thanks Tina see you tomorrow." Evan said we both walk to the cash register I pull out my wallet "Na-ah I'm paying put your money away." Evan said as he swatted my hand away and with that he payed for the unmade dress. We left the shop "Okay so where do you want to go." Evan asked me "Well if I'm with my brother defiantly Burger World,but if I'm by myself I go to Takashi's sandwich shop." I said "Takashi's sandwich shop, huh I've never heard of it." Evan said "Not a lot of people know about it." I said. I gave him the address and we drove to the sandwich shop. We had lunch together and we caught up with our lives and work and such.
