Chapter 25:Black Spear

Luna POV
Yami decided he was going to stay with Yugi for the night while I help Joey to get our rooms ready for tomorrow. "Here's the kitchen, and the living room, the guest room is right in front of my room so if Yugi has any trouble you can get to him pretty quickly." Joey explains. He continues to show me around his his apartment "Thank you Joey. This means so much." I thank him "Anytime Luna like I said you guys are my best friends." Joey says as he turns around to give me a small smile.
Time Skip
It was late at night I look at the clock it's 12:30 am. I just went to the market to get some things such as food since Joey doesn't cook and his fridge is empty, and some clothes for Yugi and I nothing much just some t-shirts, jeans, socks, underwear. I also went ahead to call Pegasus about my current situation and fortunately they have the exact copy of my deck which is weird but when I asked him about it they said that they wanted to use the copy to put in the exhibit for my section since apparently I changed Duel Monsters history. But the cards are fake so if someone where to steal it they won't be able to use it, but they are gonna give a duel disk that will use a hologram just to give the fake cards life. "Alright Luna I'm gonna hit the hay since I have an early flight tomorrow night tell Yami and Yugi I said bye." Joey says I nod to show him I heard him. I decided to take the guest bedroom and Yugi uses Joey's room. My phone starts to ring I look at the caller ID. I quietly get up and close the door and put a little device the makes the room sound proof so nobody can hear. I answer the phone "Well?" I ask "Agent Luna you know very well that you must not intervene with other missions." Chief scolds me "Yeah yeah I know, but I'm the one they want I can't risk my brother getting hurt or anyone else." I argue the Chief sighs "I know agent, but you know that you have a mission and that is to protect Mr.Kaiba and Ms.Sennen from danger." Chief reminds me. "Speaking of Ms.Sennen I believe you haven't seen her since the announcement haven't you." Chief says. Dang it I got busted "No sir." I respond "Sir? Well that's a first here's what I am gonna do tomorrow after you take care of your brother I'm gonna send you out to see Ms.Sennen to go dress shopping with her and to make sure it stays as a harmless dress shopping." Chief orders. I groan "But Chief." I whine "But nothing and you still haven't given me a report on your date." He says "Oh right well I'm thinking of asking one of my co-workers at Kaiba Corp." I suggest. "My goodness why? They are nothing but a bunch of weaklings." He teases me "Alright Mr.Cupid who do you suggest." I respond "Well there is one guy that you can hire." He says with a teasing tone "Who?" I ask "Herald Bing." He said teasing me "No way!" I yelled. I then think of someone "How about Black Spear." I suggested. "Your apprentice? Why." He asked. "Isn't he now 20 or 19 by now besides I haven't seen the little runt in a long time." I say. When I was 18 Black Spear was just recruited he was about 12 or 13 at the time. In fact his name wasn't even Black Spear it was Blake Flington the nickname wasn't given to him until he was 16. He became my apprentice just right after he came in 2nd place for the highest physical test score. "Alright I'll give him the news that his old teacher wants him." Chief said before he hung up. I sigh the last time I talked to the runt was when after I retired from HQ.
Flashback
2 years ago two weeks after Luna's retirement
Luna POV
I'm still receiving my stuff through the mail I had to constantly remind grandpa that I forgot my stuff in some random location. I'm cleaning up my room, Yugi is out with his friends and grandpa is working in the shop. I put all my spy stuff in a little room that I built while grandpa and Yugi were out for a camping trip. I hear the store bell ring I don't pay no mind to it "Luna a friend is here to see you!" Grandpa yells out. I silently groan as I get up and leave the room I quickly put in the lock code and grab my key with me. I go downstairs to find a young man I wanna say 16 years old. He had jet black hair, very built like Yami's body but he was a bit more muscular, he had grey/blue eyes, he was wearing some jeans with dress shoes, a plain black shirt with a red jacket. I smile slowly crept my face "Hey grandpa you wouldn't mind if I leave ya alone for a bit would you." I ask "Alright but know your working double." He says. I quickly grab my jacket and phone and walk out with him. We both went to a cafe that was very much abandoned, then we both order our drinks I simply get hot chocolate and he gets coffee. "So it's true isn't it you are retiring." He starts "Yep." I simply say I slowly sip my drink "But why you are the greatest spy." He says I quickly kick him under the table "Rule number one you don't announce that you are spy." I say as I sip my hot chocolate casually "Right but still you are the best." He whispers "But I just don't get it why would you give up and why would you leave your friends." He continues "Because I'm tired of lying to the people I care about most, My brother and my grandpa will be put at risk if I continue this line of work, and most of all I think it's time for you to take my place." I say as I look at my chocolate "Me! B-but why?!" He stutters in shock "Cause kid I have taught you everything that you need to know, now it's your turn to use my lessons and mold them into your own." I say as I look up to his eyes "I know you will out live my legacy you are something special kid, I know you will make me proud." I say with a smile on my face "You know I can never replace you right." He says as he looks down at his drink "I'm not asking you to replace me, but what I am asking out you kid be a leader." I say "You know you are the closest thing as a son to me." I say he looks up to me with tears rolling down his face. Blake gets up and walks over to me and gives me a hug "Thank you." He says.

I wonder how the kid is doing?
