Season 1 Episode 5 - Gods and Demigods React to Fanfiction

Chloe: Zeus, stand next to Thalia and Jason...Percy, right there...Annabeth, move over to the right...Valdez, quit eating the curtains...Hephaestus, stand by Apollo...And we're good! Welcome to another episode of HephaestusTV!

Apollo: [Sings theme song]

Chloe: Thank you for the theme song, Lord Apollo. If you didn't know, I paid a little visit to the mortal world and I found something...interesting. I read a few of these and picked out my favorites and I will read them out loud and get the gods' and demigods' reactions. What will I be reading, you may ask? Well, it's a little something called "fanfiction". More precisely, based on the Olympian gods and us demigods. Lucky for me, I'm not in them!

Leo: See? I'm so awesome someone wrote a book about me!

Chloe: Sit down Valdez. Speaking of Valdez, our first story is called Beyond the Seas (A Caleo Fanfic).

Percy: Caleo?

Chloe: It's a ship name, just let me read and you'll get it. [Clears throat]

{ It's been 3 months since the Giant War and Leo has been working nonstop to find Calypso. He tried to figure out if the astrolabe had anything to do with the island. Leo obsessed over the ship's navigation and the astrolabe, desperate to find his love, who was trapped on an island. He even built another bedroom on the Argo II just for Calypso. He wondered if he had to go through this if Percy kept his promise and set her free...then again, if Percy DID keep his promise, Leo and Calypso would've never met. He was glad Percy survived the Tartarus; Leo reminded himself to kill Percy for hurting Calypso. He missed his girl. Her sweet laugh, her singing, her beautiful cinnamon hair and eyes...Leo missed everything about her. But he was going to find her. He swore it on the River Styx. }

Leo: [Avoids eye contact]

Jason: So that's what happened...

Nico: You swore on the River Styx?!? Ogygia is unfindable!

Leo: I'll figure it out!

Aphrodite: OOOH! I smell looove!

Leo: Oh, one more thing! [Tries to kill Percy]

Annabeth: Seaweed Brain, do something!

Percy: Nah, I deserved it.

Leo: That was for Calypso!

Chloe: [Whistles] The next story is called Love at First Prank. It's one of my favorites. [Smiles]

{ "Yo Connor, you see that new girl," Travis Stoll whispered to his brother, pointing at a girl with long dark hair braided with flowers.

"Yeah dude, she seems like your type," Connor said back.

"My pranking type...I'll be right back!

Meanwhile, Katie Gardner was being given a tour by Annabeth Chase from Athena cabin. Luke Castellan from Hermes cabin gave her a sleeping bag and a Camp Half Blood T-shirt. Her sleeping bag was below a ceiling fan, giving her a bit of a chill, but nonetheless, she didn't mind. A few hours later, Luke called lights out and everyone snuggled into their beds and sleeping bags.

Travis carefully sprinkled flour and put cups of syrup on the ceiling fan the newbie was sleeping under. He got up earlier the next morning and turned a switch on. The fan rotated just as the newbie woke up, dousing her in flour and syrup. Travis didn't notice how cute she was when she was angry. He should piss her off more often...

It's been years since the flour and syrup prank, and years since she was claimed by her mother, Demeter. The Stolls were still as annoying, but she secretly liked their pranks. Katie would never admit it out loud, but she fell more in love with Travis Stoll, one prank at a time. }

Katie: EEEW! Me? With TRAVIS?!? Who the Hades wrote this?!?

Travis: I can't be that bad.

Katie: No, you're worse!

Aphrodite: Do I hear wedding bells over there?

Travis and Katie: NO!

Connor: I think I do.

Chloe: I'm with you bro. Next one's really depressing. It made me cry actually. Hold on, I'm getting an Iris Message backstage.

~ 1 minute later ~

Chloe: Valdez, Hephaestus. Nyssa's taking you both for lunch. Now.

Leo and Hephaestus: [Leaves]

Chloe: Good, they're gone. 'Cause this one's dead depressing and made me cry. ME! That's, like, saying something.

{ It's been a year since the Giant War. Since the seven defeated Gaea. Since Jason lost his best friend. Camp Half Blood without Leo just wasn't Camp Half Blood. Everything was drearier; plants were wilted, it rained more often and the campers - Hephaestus cabin especially - weren't in the usual mood. Even the fact that the Greeks got along with the Romans wasn't enough to fill the void. Jason missed Leo's jokes and laughs. The Argo II was empty; it went nowhere without the Supreme Commander. Jason blamed himself. He was with Leo. He could've saved Leo yet he didn't. All he did was watch a friend die in his arms. }

Everyone: [Crying]

Chloe: I can't even finish this. [Goes backstage]

Travis: Anyone else notice she cried for LEO?!?

Connor: I'll be back. [Goes backstage]

Connor and Chloe: [Comes back 3 minutes later]

Chloe: [Sniffs] I'm fine, I'm fine. I wasn't going to read the rest of it, but the rest was about Jason blaming himself, Hazel falling into depression, Piper shutting herself out and Nico permanantly leaving camp, etc., etc. [Sniffs]

Annabeth: What about me and Percy?

Chloe: Same as Jason: Blaming yourselves. [Wiping away tears] You know what? I'm calling it a night. [Sniffs] Sorry for the depressing ending.
