Chloe: Hello and welcome to our first game of Are You Smarter than Athena (Probably Not)! I'm your host, Chloe Gallagher, and today we have 3 demigod contestants from Camp Half Blood who are going to try to beat Athena in a series of trivia questions. Our contestants are Will Solace-
Will: [Waves]
Chloe: -Percy Jackson-
Percy: Hi mom!
Chloe: -And Drew Tanaka!
Drew: [Blows kisses to the audience]
Chloe: And obviously, we have Lady Athena!
Athena: Hello!
Chloe: Annabeth and I wrote some trivia questions and they're all in random order. The rules are you must type your answer on the keypad at your podium and submit it to my computer here. You are not allowed to help others or cheat in any way. Whoever gets the correct answer earns a point and you have 60 seconds to answer each question. If you don't get it within the time limit, you won't get any points. The winner gets a free trip to a resort on Mount Olympus and 1000 drachmas. Ready guys?
Will, Percy and Drew: Ready!
Chloe: And you Lady Athena?
Athena: Of course I am, thank you.
Chloe: Good. First question: What was the first item sold on eBay?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Let's see what they said. Drew said a bag of Justin Beibers hair [gags], Percy said some sort of kitchen appliance and Will said a broken laser pointer. Athena, what'd you say?
Athena: A broken laser pointer.
Chloe: That is correct! The first item sold on eBay was a broken laser pointer bought by a collector. Athena and Will both get a point! Next question: What is the world's toughest phone?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Will said an iPhone 5S, Percy said a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Drew said a Sonim XP3300. Athena?
Athena: A Sonim XP3300.
Chloe: Good job. Drew gets a point. The Sonim XP3300 survived a 25 metre fall onto concrete with no operational damage. Why are there 24 hours in a day?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Will said because the Arabs counted by 24, Percy said Kronos made equal daytimes so there aren't any uneven days in the year and Drew said the Greeks first measured light and dark that way. As great as they sound, none of them are right. [Turns to Athena]
Athena: It's because the Egyptians counted in units of 12 since they counted by the finger joints. Although I have to say Percy's theory isn't bad and Drew and Will's sound reasonable.
Chloe: True dat. Which country's soccer team has appeared for the last 19 finals tournaments and won five of them?
Percy and Will: That's easy!
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Percy and Will both said Brazil (that rhymes) and Drew said the UK.
Athena: Considering I know a demigod who was in the finals, I can confidently say it's Brazil.
Chloe: That's correct! Percy, Will and Athena get a point! What year was the revolver-camera invented?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Hm, you all got it right. It was invented in 1938. Jeez, I need to find harder questions. Okay, here's one Annabeth wrote. Fill in the blank: Men in Asian countries who drink __ have very low instances of prostate cancer.
Will: The Hades?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: The only one who got it right was Drew, who said green tea. Percy said herbal smoothies and Will said Special K herbal spice vitamin calcium protein mineral naturally flavoured fat free sugar free vanilla milkshakes with magic Chinese fairy blood. What the Hades Will?!? That's way off!
Will: I panicked!
Athena: It's green tea.
Chloe: Yep. Who is the most filmed cartoon character?
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: [Sighs] Of course the boys got it right. I'll tell you right now Athena missed this one, just take a minute to absorb that. Will and Percy get a point. The most filmed cartoon character is a comic book and movie character named Zorro. Next, fill in the blanks: The amount of calories a beef cow consumes in its lifetime is enough energy for _ __ _ _ _ __.
Contestants: [Writes down answers]
Chloe: Will and Percy said to launch itself out of a cannon and Drew said to fuel a racecar. This point goes to Will, Percy and Lady Athena. The winner of this game is...DRUMROLLL PLEASE!
[Cue drumroll]
Chloe: Athena! You win a trip to the Mount Olympus resort and 1000 drachmas!
[Cue balloons, confetti and music]
Chloe: But don't feel bad if you didn't win. Second place is Will, who gets a chariot made by Apollo himself and third place is Percy who gets 500 drachmas! That's all for this show. See you next time on HephaestusTV!
