They spent the entire day walking around, going into stores, and taking many, many pictures. When they got back to the hotel room, they were both exhausted. They started to get ready for bed. They laid there for a few minutes in silence, but it wasn’t awkward silence. Then Magnus said “Alexander, I know I’m late for asking you about this, and I don’t know if you even want to talk about this at all or not, so you can tell me to shut up right after I ask this if you don’t want to talk about it.” Alec sat up to look at Magnus. “What is it?” “Do you remember anything from when you were in the coma?” Alec looked down and thought for a minute. He looked back at Magnus who now looked worried that he said something wrong. “Yes. I remember you being beside me the whole time, I remember feeling scared during the seizures... I remember the feeling of wanting to kiss you, to tell you that I’m okay but not being able to. I remember all the crying and people hugging me and me not being able to comfort them.” Alec now had tears in his eyes and so did Magnus. He took Alec in for a big hug. When they broke the hug. Magnus said “I’m so sorry for bringing it up. I didn’t mean to make you sad or remember something so terrible.” “Magnus, it’s okay. I’m glad you asked actually. I’ve never told anyone before. It feels good to get that off my chest. You know, the only thing that kept me from not losing my mind was you. You always being there for me, always kissing and hugging me, helped me fight even more. You are the reason I woke up. I guess my body felt my mind want you so desperately that it gave in.” Alec gave a small giggle. Magnus lent in and kissed him deeply.
The next morning Alec woke up first. He looked at Magnus. He loved how Magnus looked in his sleep, beautiful and peaceful. He watched his husband sleep for a few minutes before getting up to his chair to make breakfast for them. He got to the kitchen and began to attempt to cook. He stood up and started to make pancakes for them. As he cooked, he held onto the counter, sitting down after each pancake he made. He set the table and brought the food to the table and made it as presentable as he could with his lack of décor taste. As soon as he put the last finishing touches, he fell making a loud banging sound. Magnus woke up instantly and ran to the sound. Once he got to the kitchen, he saw Alec on the floor trying to get up. He immediately went over to him and helped him up. “What happened Alexander?” “I made breakfast for us. I guess I was standing longer than I thought and lost my balance.” Once Alec was sitting at the table, Magnus looked at what Alec made. He looked at Alec with tears in his eyes. “Alexander, this is amazing. You did this all on your own?” “Yeah. You have done everything for me, you’ve basically devoted your life to helping me. I can’t do much to repay you, but slowly I hope I can make it up to you. I love you so much. I don’t know if you can even begin to think of how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and how much I love you.” “Oh Alexander, you don’t have to repay me, I am your husband. I would give my life for you. I love you so much. I am so happy that I get to be your husband and that I am the one to help you during your recovery. Alexander I would do anything for you as long as I get to be with you.” “Thank you so much Magnus. I love you.” “I love you too. Now let’s try this delicious food you have made. But first, picture! You’re first meal!” Magnus set on the timer and quickly went to sit at the table. After Magnus made sure the picture was good, he went to start eating. “Alexander, this is delicious! What magic did you use?” “Well Magnus, I used this new thing called a recipe and a stove and it kind of just happened, I guess it is magic.” They both started to laugh and finished their breakfast.
After breakfast, they went to the city to get souvenirs for their families and friends. They went into a few shops to get some thank you gifts for their best mans. Magnus got Raphael a tie that he thought was perfect for Raphael and would look amazing in at their first year wedding anniversary party. Alec took a little longer to choose a gift for Jace, but he eventually chose an Icelandic whiskey that was supposed to be very good. Alec knew how much Jace loved alcohol once in a while. They got something for Isabelle, Clary, Simon, Maia, and Alec’s parents, then went to go to the Perlan restaurant for dinner.  The ate and talked about how much they loved each other, how much they loved Iceland and what they are going to do for the rest of their lives together. They were so happy. They spent the rest of the night talking and sneaking in a few kisses.
They were coming close to an end on their honeymoon with only two days left of being in Iceland. They wanted to stay longer but they also wanted to go back to their home and be with their family and friends. They went to caves, saw the northern lights together, went to a few volcanoes, but their favourite part was seeing the city lights at night. They were so beautiful and it reminded them both of New York. They strolled through the city, holding hands almost every night they were there.
