SHRUTI'S POV
Dr Rakesh Bhat , cardiologist.
Butterflies erupted once I read that board which is stick to his cabin . I am so happy that he is back to work that too in our hospital again .
" Excuse me " someone cleared their throat and I instantly recognised as his voice . I walked fast away from him without turning to look at him .
" Wait " Dr Bhat said .
" Come to my cabin now " he ordered and I had to follow him inside .
" Shruthi, why are you running from me ? " He asked me directly .
How can I tell him that I kind of feel awkward after seeing him at home as well as in hospital now . If we had some kind of relation between us it would have been okay with me . But we are not even friends except me accepting that I love him , he did not respond to it at all .
" Sit down . What happened?" He questioned me again .
" Dr Bhat .." I started but he glared at me .
" Sir .." I started and he stood up from his chair .
" What did I ask you to call me?" He spoke seriously.
" Rakesh " I replied looking down .
" Now what the hell is wrong with you ? You don't come to my house anymore ! You won't pick your call ! You won't reply to my messages! You don't even come out of your hostel when I keep on blaring my horn ! " He shouted placing his hands on the desk looking at me frustrated.
I am not your maid dude .
" You are well now . I did not think you will need me for anything now " I replied truthfully.
" You will only see me if I am not well?" He asked me .
" Tthat's not true ." I replied looking down .
" If that's the case , Shruthi I need to confess something " he said. I looked up at him urging him to continue.
" I am suffering" he spoke .
" What ? What happened? Is everything alright? " I asked him getting up from my chair .
" I am suffering coz you are not with me " he spoke walking towards me .
I stood still in my place
He's joking right?
" Turns out you are the only cure for my suffering" he said cupping my cheeks .
"I am the cause and cure for your suffering?" I asked stupidly. I can see tears in his eyes .
" Yes " he replied chuckling a bit .
I moved away from him abruptly.
" I mean no offence . What is wrong with you Dr Bhat? You were like I don't care what you do types ! Did you exhange your heart with some patient?" I asked him bewilderedly
" No shruthi .I have no one who cares for me . I have seen Meera talking about Arjun , I always wanted someone to talk about me like that , look at me or feel proud of me . The day Arjun met went missing and Meera well sick , I realised how would I be if something happens to you? I realised I can't admire you from far and can't keep calm about my love for you anymore . " He replied smiling widely.
