Jameson: I am domestic goddess Jameson. Fear me!
A/N: I sort of recommend you read this with next week's chapter in one sitting, since this chapter alone features only half of what I want to talk about regarding a specific character in the story. It is up to you though, I have no qualms if you want to read this immediately since I would have done the same lol!
[Jameson]
*~*~*
When the walls look beige,
Air flows dry, water runs still,
When the birch wood floors creek far too loud.
There will always be another joke to be told,
Another jingle of her collar.
You told me your office is a cage,
Despite the healing beasts prancing next to your feet,
The lock was far too hard to pick, even with a tongue as sharp as yours.
Fear not, love; for I have made you a home cooked meal,
Taken from our favourite cookbook.
There is a crystal vase in the corner,
One of ceramic on the counter;
And forever more, hyacinths will be our flower,
Blue, indigo and purple, like the sky outside our window,
On my favourite hour, with my prince atop a watch tower.

Early October
I haven't worn a suit properly in years.
"Looking good!" Owen teases as I struggle with doing up my cuffs with one hand. He puts down his mug of coffee and walks over to do it up for me. He's probably much better at suits since he wears it to work sometimes.
"My fingers are too clumsy..." I sigh.
"No, your fingers are great at what they do." Winking at me while I blush to the tip of my ears. "I know you remember how to call me on Skype, but make sure you actually check your phone when you're not on duty."
"I will!" Quickly dismissing his fears. The hardest part of this trip is probably being away from Owen, even though he sleeps in his own apartment, I see him almost every day due to my usually flexible schedule. "And you won't be alone... exactly..."
Owen does up my tie for me, a double-triple super cartwheel windmill knot, or some shit like that. "Surprise!" Someone yells behind the apartment door. My boyfriend raises an eyebrow and flips my tie up to hit me in the nose.
After opening the door, "You plan to replace yourself with your best friend?" Owen laughs, giving Franklin a friendly embrace that makes me smile. I find it amazing that they get on so well, it's such a blessing. After the few months Franklin spent visiting his parents, he decided to come back to our town for a final stop before leaving for California again. Not that it's really all that hard to make a road trip to see him, but I will miss his laughs very much.
"Yeah, what if I managed to seduce little Owen here?" Franklin jokes, using Owen's head as an armrest while he unties his shoes with the other hand. His leg seems to be healing, but not very fast at all since he is moving around so much. The doctor can't really stop him because it is past his critical period, but the scarred tissue may still be a problem if he doesn't slow down.
"You are on a whole other league Frank." Owen moves Franklin's arm so he is leaning against the cabinet instead of his head. "A league I'm not very interested in."
