'Do you get this shit?' Hannah frowned as she picked up the piece of paper printed with lots of equations. She studied question number one hard, reading it over and over again. 'No, Hannah! For the last time, I don't get maths!' 'But you're clever! You get A*'s and A's on most of your subjects.' She whined, chucking the piece of paper back on her bed. 'Yeah... In Art and Science Not in maths, dear.' I laughed. 'Well what are we going to do with this shit. It's in for tomorrow and I don't have time to do it later on.' She frowned as she got up from her bed. 'I dunno.' I turned to face her as she continuously walked around her room looking like a constipated chicken. 'I know!' Her face lit up, 'We'll ask Luke. He's good at maths.' She smiled. 'Ok.' I grinned. I looked back on the piece of paper and studied question number one again. I sighed as I wrote number one with a bracket on my maths book, still not knowing the answer. 'Well what the hell are you still doing here?' She chuckled. 'Wait..' I faked a laugh. 'I'm NOT asking him. He's your freaking brother. Ask him yourself.' I snapped. 'Can't you see I'm busy?' I looked at her. Nope! She was not busy, she wasn't even doing anything. She was just standing there looking back at me. I shook my head and faked a smile. 'Come on!' She grabbed my hand and took the piece of paper. She gave it to me and pushed me out of her room locking the door as I got out. I knocked loudly on Hannah's door, tapping rapidly hoping she wouldn't do this to me. 'Hannah! Let me in!!!' 'NO! Not unless you get the answers off Luke.' She yelled back. 'Please Hannah!' 'No!' I knocked loudly again but she still wouldn't open the door. 'What's wrong?' A voice behind me said. I looked around and it was Luke. I can't look at him in the eye, especially after what happened last week. I glared at the ground where he was stood and whispered, 'Will you help us with our maths homework, please?' 'Of course!' He smiled. He stood to one side of his door and pointed at me to go in to his room. I slowly walked in and looked around. He sat down on one of the chairs and said, 'Have a seat.' I tip-toed to the chair and slowly sat down. I stared at the table in front of us as I realised he was staring at me. 'Will you stop staring at me, please.' I whispered. 'Oh.. Sorry. Yes..' He laughed, 'So what are you stuck on?' I placed the sheet of paper down on the table and I pointed at question number one. He explained it to me very well and I got it straight away. Within ten minutes we were already at question number eight. I could see him smiling and staring at me again at the corner of my eye but I ignored him and continued looking at the questions. 'Do you still remember when we were little and we used to always go to the park and play with our kites and freesbees?' He chuckled. I didn't smile at him and said, 'Sorry.. But no. I don't remember.' Obviously! I did. Those were the best days of my life. I just had to be strong and feel like I'm over him so I pretended like I didn't know what he was talking about. 'Do you remember when I used to always give you piggy backs because you were the princess and you always got your way?' He laughed. I started smiling but tried to hold it in. 'No.' I faked a laugh. It was getting so awkward now. As he got the sheet of paper to read the last question the pencil rolled under the table. We both quickly got down and tried to reach for the pencil but the table was only small enough to fit both of our heads. We both stared at each other only milimetres from each other's lips. It was now getting even more awkward. I looked back at the pencil and grabbed it under the table. I stood up and took the sheet of paper. 'Thanks for your help but I think I get it now.' I smiled. As I was about to open the door he said, 'I may not love you anymore, Alice but I would really love to get my bestfriend back, if that's ok? I know my spoilt princess is still down there, hiding.' He laughed. I turned back around to look at him and smiled. I walked out his room.
