I slowly walked down the stairs and got the keys from a small table near the door. I slotted the keys and twisted it. I opened the door and there stood Luke smiling at me. 'Hey.' He grinned. 'Hi.' I smiled, 'What are you doing here?' 'I was just wondering, if erm..' He scratched the back of his head and stared at the ground, 'If you'd like to come to the park with me today.' I glared at him and shook my head, 'I can't. I'm already going to the park later with Reece. Maybe next time?' I raised my eyebrow. 'Yeah.. Sure.. Next time.' He smiled. 'Why don't you ask Erika?' 'She can't come.' He said, 'Well, I'll see you around then?' He started walking off but I felt bad so I stopped him. 'Luke, wait!' I yelled, 'I suppose ten minutes won't do any harm.' I caught up with him and smiled. 'Thank you.' He said. 'What for?' I laughed. 'Nevermind. Is.. erm.. Is Reece asking you out?' He stuttered. 'I think so. He told me he liked me yesterday.' 'Do you like him back?' He asked. 'I don't know. Kind of. He's nice, good-looking, caring, everything that a girl looks for in a guy.' I smiled, 'Why do you ask?' 'Nothing.' He quickly replied, 'Just wondering.' 'How's you and Erika?' I asked. 'Ok.' He faked a smile. 'Ok?! Is that it?' I laughed. 'Ok.. I'm lying. I don't know what's happening to me and her lately. She's becoming so annoying and I'm starting to feel like she's too clingy.' He frowned. 'Oh.' There was an awkward silence. We both continued walking giving each other awkward smiles. 'To tell you the truth, I'm starting to like someone else. I feel like I made a wrong decision with Erika and should of stayed with her.' Am I wrong to think it's me he's reffering to? But I don't know. He did say he didn't like me anymore and that he's feelings have changed. He also said he only likes me as a friend. 'Ok. Well do what your heart says? If you love this girl so much why won't you be with her then?' I asked. He frowned then said, 'I can't.' 'Why not?' I raised my eyebrow. He just shrugged and continued walking. He ignored my question.
