*A few months later- One month before Alice gives birth*

I stared out the window and leaned my forehead against the glass. I looked at a family who happened to have walked past my house. They were so happy. I could tell by their reactions and their smiles. Every so often I'd see them every day walking their dog and pushing baby strollers. They looked so happy together and they loved each other so much. I sighed as I stared at my bump. 'Baby, do you see them?' I whispered as I rubbed my stomach in a circular motion. 'I'm sorry, I was so stupid to have fallen in love with your Dad.' I muttered. I felt a tear roll down to my cheek. My mouth quivered as I felt a cold breeze of air from outside, gush into my room. 'I'm so sorry daddy's not going to watch you grow up.' I mumbled, 'But no matter how much I try to forget about him, I can't. I still don't believe be has left us.' I took a deep breath and sighed, 'I guess sometimes the truth hurts.' I closed my eyes for a few seconds and rubbed my stomach, 'Don't worry, baby. I'll try and forget about him just for you. I don't want you to ever meet him.' I slowly opened my eyes and wiped the tear that rolled down to my cheek. 'I promise to you, baby...' I smiled, 'Someday... We'll have a big family. You'll have a Dad, I'll love him and he'll love me. Then you'll be a big sister to your little brother.' I giggled, 'Oh... and we'll have a dog too like that family we saw. You and me, Kate..' I smiled, 'You and me.' My door quickly opened, 'Alice, the food's ready.' Reece smiled. I nodded my head and smiled back. He slowly closed the door and walked off. 'Baby, do you like Reece?' I smiled...
