I got up from my bed and stared at the pregnancy box she had in her hand. 'Well?!' She yelled. I gulped. Just the sound of her voice frightened me. She looked pretty angry and I was pretty sure she'd know by now after seeing that box. Especially after I've been sick for the past few weeks. 'Mum..' I whispered. 'Is this yours?!' She snapped. I looked down on the ground and avoided eye contact with her. 'Well!!' I closed my eyes and sighed. I looked up at her. 'No, Mum.' I lied, 'It's my friends. She thinks she's pregnant so she did the test. If she did it at home her parents would've killed her so I said she could do it here. I must've forgotten to throw it in the bin.' I lied again hoping she'd believe me. I stared at her in the eyes. Her eyes was burning with flames. For some damn reason I don't think I caught the fish. She slowly walked up to me and shook her head. Her right hand flung across the air slapping me hard across the cheek. 'How stupid do you think I am, Alice?' She yelled. I felt my hot, burning cheek and a tear rolled down from my eyes. 'Mum.' I cried. 'You're pregnant, aren't you?!?!' I slowly nodded my head. Tears rolled down her clear, cream face. 'That's it. You've ruined your life! You are a bright girl, Alice. Your Dad and I had so much plans for you and we did our best to give you everything. Then what do you give us in return? This?! A headache?!?!' She yelled. 'Mum.. I'm sorry.' I mumbled. She shook her head, 'You're grounded for the rest of your life. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!?! You're not allowed to go out, EVER! You've broken our trust and that means your going to be home-schooled.' She snapped. 'What?! Mum.. please... No!!' I cried. The door flung open, 'What's going on here?' Dad asked.
