The bus journey home was somewhat filled with awkward tension. Sitting so close to Tsukishima, and the slight unease between the players from when Hinata bumped into Asahi, had filled the air with a suffocating thickness you were trying to desperately to ignore. You tried to busy yourself by going on your phone. Talking to Yamaguchi had been an epic flop as he had fallen asleep within 15 minutes, his head resting on your shoulder. Every so often you'd wipe away some drool that would escape his open mouth. You found it quite adorable, he was like a baby. Occasisonally you'd catch Tsukki looking at you, though he'd end up glaring when you caught him which pissed you off.
"We're almost there, so contact any parents or guardians if you need collecting!" Takeda-san spoke loudly, informing those of who were awake. You left Yamaguchi sleeping as you knew he'd be walking home with Tsukishima. You gave Yamaguchi a little head rub before turning to your phone though you caught a certain blonde staring at you once again.
"Take a picture, it'd last longer." you told him flatly, not bothering to even look at him properly.
"You're pissing me off." you heard him say. This caused you to look up swifty and glare at him.
'What the hell is his problem?' you thought to yourself. Sticking you middle finger up at him you replied to his rude comment. "Suck it. To think I ever liked you." you mumbled the last part.
"What did you say?" he asked.
With an over-exaggerated sigh you replied to him. "Oh, I dunno. You know I was going to talk to you to try and sort whatever this is," you gestured between the two of you, "but I can see you're too much up your own arse to even want to hear me out." you ended, your glare growing with each passing second. Some of the other guys on the bus had heard and turned to see what was happening.
"Is everything ok, (l/n)-san?" Ennoshita asked.
"I'm fine." you said through gritted teeth as you turned your attention back to your phone. You heard him say a slightly weary 'ok' as he and the others turned back to what they were doing. You could still feel Tsukki's eyes on you though you chose to ignore him, not having enough energy to deal with him anymore.
You phone pinged as you were playing a game and you quickly went to check it.
GiantMan: hey hey hey gurl when you getting back, i miss youuu :< 20:37
(n/n): ahaha Ry shut up and uh idk like 15 mins 20:37
You replied to him instantly and locked your phone, putting your head slightly on Yamaguchi's and sighing. As you heard this you heard Tsukishima sigh too. Your eyes trailed to him ever so slightly and you could see he was looking down.
"Sorry," he began, barely audible, "I'd like to talk too." he admitted, whispering now.
Your eyes widened slightly and your brows furrowed. You were outstanded. The Tsukishima Kei was apologizing to you? Your mind had gone slightly into overdrive and your heart beat began to speed up. A buzz from your phone pulled you out of your dazed state and you blinked a few times, nodding your head.
"Ok good." you replied back weakly as you checked your phone.
GiantMan: ok cool see u at the school in 15 ;)) 20:40
A giant grin broke out onto your face but then you became slightly confused.
