You woke up the next morning feeling undeniably happy and at ease. Unfortunately you knew it was because of spending time with a certain salty boy, which annoyed you to no end. "Feelings are stupid." you mumbled to yourself as you moseyed about your home, getting ready for the day. It was a Wednesday so you packed your gym back as hurdles practice was on today. This came as a slight frustration to you as you had to talk to coach Ukai about the summer training camps and whatnot, though your told yourself the team wouldn't mind you being late.

"I'm leaving for school now." you shouted to your mum as you left the house, your feet feeling light as you walked to school.

As you walked to your class, 1-4, you greeted everyone you were somewhat aquinted with. Whether you smiled, gave them a friendly nod or wave, or were vocal with your greeting, you greeted everyone none the less. Your cheery attitude did not go unnoticed and a lot of students were a little confused at your friendliness, however they did not complain. Well, all except one.

"Oi! (L/n)! What's got you all happy for?"

Oh Ryota. What a blessing.

You turned to face the lanky male who was stood on his lonesome, a grin etched onto his face. You stared at him, a little confused.

"Hah? What's that mean? I'm always happy." you pouted at him. He chuckled lightly and ruffled your hair before you two walked off to your class.

"Sure ya are short stuff." he laughed out. 

"Yeah yeah, whatever, can't a lady catch a break."

"You? A lady? Pft, I've heard no lie like it." he snorted and you eblowed him in the side. "Sorry, haha. Catch you at practice, yeah?" he asked as you both stood at your classes door. You let out a nervous breath, which he noticed immediately. "What is it?"

"I'm...I'll be a little late to practice. I need to go see a teacher about something." you told him. Hearing a laugh you looked up at him to see him wearing a goofy smile.

"So? Don't get so worked up over being late (l/n). I'll let everyone know, you can count on me." he shot you a thumbs up as he walked away and you sent him a trusting nod before you turned to walk into your class. Your quick walk to your desk was however interrupted by a certain freckled boy.

"(L/n)-kun, who was that?!" he asked, a look of panic on his face. "He was so tall!"

"Oh, he's on my hurdles team, don't worry Yama-kun, he's a friend. Like a friendly giant. The opposite of Tsukki!" you concluded, bouncing lightly on your toes. Yamaguchi laughed lightly at this, though yours and his amusing teasing session was cut short when the blonde in question appeared behind you out of nowhere.

"Haaah? What was that you shrimp?" jumping back slightly you raised your hands in defence.

"Don't threaten me, I'll get Ry-chan on you!" you shot him a glare before bursting out into a fit of giggles. The two boys shot each other a wary glance before you made your way over to your desk, muttering nonsensically to yourself. "See you two later." you said to them before finally, class was underway.

"Gah, I'm so happy the day is over." you groaned to yourself.

"Why? Your little brain not big enough to handle the work?" you heard a teasing voice behind you.

"I will shove my foot so far up your ass, Tsukki, that it will come out of you mou-"

"Ok ok ok, tha-that's enough you two." Yamaguchi. Such a sweet harmless boy. You glared at the taller of the two and sulked, following behind him with Yamaguchi.
