Erica and Johan are twins. They are both fifteen years of age, have the same brown hair, black eyes, and similar height. But the similarities end there. Johan is an overweight Asian gamer and nerd who loves chips and junk food, and Erica is a total jock who has a healthy diet and can never sit still. Do you have ADHD? Well, Erica probably can help sitting still even less than you can. Go figure.
Their parents are both on business trips. Their father is a hearty man and he is also the CEO and founder of Genesis Innovations Inc. Their mom is the CFO of the same company and she is also the co-founder. Both being extremely busy, this usually meant that Erica and Johan were left at home alone. You're probably thinking that they are rich. In fact, they are.
Erica and Johan's parents arranged for them to study in Korea as exchange students because they noticed that both of their children, like themselves, possessed 'The Ability.' The school they were being sent off to had a noticeable amount of individuals also possessing 'The Ability.' And, if you're wondering, Johan and Erica's parents also have 'The Ability.'
Let me explain 'The Ability' to you. And yes, after this chapter, I will get rid of the single quote marks around the words The Ability. Oh, I just did, didn't I? Whatever. Anyway, 'The Ability' is something that is granted to individuals by an entity known as Globalous. 'The Ability' at first does absolutely nothing; but as you grow older, based on your life, it will grant you power. This power is also based on these other factors:
-Potential, which is hereditary
-Life, which is what is happening in your life
-Experience, which is wisdom and experience gained from experience using 'The Ability.'
However, even though 'The Ability' will grant you power if you have it, you will only be able to start utilizing this power after it activates. Activation generally occurs when you encounter a extremely oppressive, dangerous, or interesting situation. This means people who live boring lives and never take risks who have 'The Ability' may never get to use the powers granted.
Let me explain potential and experience. Potential is based on your parents and how much potential they have. Everyone has potential, but not everyone possesses 'The Ability.' So too bad if you have a lot of potential but no 'The Ability.'
Experience is generated after activation. Experience is essentially honing and improving your powers granted by 'The Ability.' Now, are you ready to follow Johan and Erica on their adventure? Yeah? Then let's go!
