2 hours later (Diego's POV)

I decided to call Ethan's mom once I got home. I was curious to if it was good or bad news coming.

The phone rang 2 times before she answered the phone.

Diego : hello, mrs. cutkosky.

Ethan's mom : hi, Diego. this is bad news coming. the other night when i came home from work, i was looking around for Ethan. i wasn't sure where he was at. i walked down the hallway past the bathroom, the light was on. i knocked on the door and i couldn't hear anything-

I could tell at this point from the shakiness and uneasiness in her voice it was really bad.

Ethan's mom : Ethan is gone, he killed himself.

My heart instantly dropped. I froze in my tracks, I couldn't think straight. My mouth was so dry and I couldn't figure out what I should respond with.

Diego : I'm so sorry, mrs. cutkosky. this is unreal. how am i going to tell Selena?

I choked on my own words, making it hard for me to breath.

Ethan's mom : just tell her how i told you. i have to go. love to the both of you.

Her voice was still shaky and quiet before she hung up.

Ethan committed suicide.

This is insane.

i got my head straight now that im getting some space away from a time consuming relationship that probably wasn't worth my time. but it's all good. im back and im better.
