Chapter 16

LOUIS POV

I grabbed Caitlin's plate of food, a glass of water and a napkin and headed up the stairs. I played out various scenarios in my head. Whether she would be all kind to me or whether she would end up yelling and throwing a hairbrush at me.

I took an extremely deep breath before placing my knuckle on the white door. I knocked softly first.

"Yeah come in Harry." She sounded a little frustrated.

Normally I would just walk in and announce myself as Louis when I was in there, but I don't think this was quite the situation to do that.

"It's Louis."

Nothing but silence filled the room for a solid 30 seconds. It felt like forever though.

I eventually heard the sound of soft steps along the carpet, coming closer and closer to the door.

The door squeaked open a few centimetres, just so I could see about half of her face.

Make up was running down her face. Oh my god, I felt so bad.

She just stared at me for a while, eyes filled with hurt.

Without saying anything, she eventually opened up her door fully and walked to her bean bag in the corner of the room.

I followed her in, placed her meal and water on her desk and just casually took a seat on her bed.

My mouth opened up a few times but nothing reall.

After about ten times, Caitlin spoke (to my surprise).

"Louis, I'm so sorry. I honestly do not know what I was thinking."

I truly had no idea what to say after that. So instead, she spoke again.

"I know this is a lot to ask but...can we start over? Can we please forget what happened?"

"Of course. It's forgotten."

A look of relief filled her face and she stood up to come and sit next to me.

I softly leaned in to give her a hug. Not a big one. We didn't need thing escalating again. This was more of a 'we are all good' hug.

After letting go, I spoke to her about dinner.

"Ok so there's your dinner if you want it. It's just a curry. You don't have to eat it."

"Thanks Louis." She went over to her desk and began eating.

I just casually walked out. I thought she might need some time by herself.

I shut the door behind me and thought about what had just happened.

It struck me that I had said that I would forget about it. It was going to take me some to do that. But I had to do my best.

For Caitlin.

HARRY POV

I was just lying on the couch, catching up old episodes of Friends when I heard Louis softly padding down the stairs.

I sat up straight away.

"How'd it go?"

"Yeah all fine. She just asked if we could forget about it and start over. So we're all good."

I was relieved. I was praying for those two.

Louis came down and took a seat next to me. He sighed quite loudly as he did. It sounded like a sigh of relief. It was obvious how much he liked Caitlin.

I just wasn't how sure he wanted to fully admit it.

CAITLIN POV

My conversation with Louis went surprisingly well.

I wasn't expecting him to come and see me, I thought I would have had to gone to see him later. Not that I wanted to go in his room or anything...

I had said everything that I wanted to say. I said everything that I had planned. Thank goodness for not stuffing that up.

I needed to skype Claudia.

Claudia was my best friend from high school. We had so much in common. Especially our love for music. I told her everything and I desperately needed to talk to her and tell her about everything that has happened so far. Even that event with Louis...

I had finished my dinner and was still sitting at my desk. I pushed the bowl and glass away and pulled my laptop out from the side drawer. I placed it onto my desk, turned it on and logged on to my account.

To my surprise, she happened to be online! I called her straight away and she picked up within one ring.

"Hey hey hey gorgeous! How's London?!"

"It's been eventful, I'll tell you that much!"

"Why? Tell me everything!"

I proceeded to tell Claudia about the events of the day. She was a little jealous of me as she loves One Direction. I had told her so much about Harry and she REALLY wanted to meet him. But she always told me that she had special eyes for Niall.

I told her about every tiny detail about the day. Including the almost scene with Louis.

"Caitlin, why? Why would you do that? I've known you for what? 6 years? You have never ever struck me as someone to do that!"

"I know, I know, I know. I honestly have no idea what fell over me. I can't express that enough. But what I felt was indescribable. I want to feel it more."

"Seems to me like someone is falling in lllloooovvvveee!" She said that word for way to long. Claudia did that sometimes.

"Ok maybe. But how can I after what happened with Justin?" Just to clarify, Claudia did not sleep with Justin. That was the works of Chloe.

"I know it's hard gorgeous. But you are going to have to move on especially! And what a bonus if it was with a hunk of a guy like Louis freaking Tomlinson!" As I said, she loved 1D.

"Yeah, but how?"
