CAITLIN POV

"Caitlin Smith, will you be my girlfriend?" The seven words that I had been longing to hear from Louis' mouth. These past weeks with him have been the best of my life, and I wanted us to go further.

My voice became a whisper, as I was internally exploding with excitement and happiness, as cliché as it sounded. "Yes." I spoke to him quite mutely, hands till interlocked. I couldn't help but notice a smile upon his face.

That was when the door opened, and Louis's face fell again. His nerves were super evident as my mum stood at the door.

I regretfully let go of Lou's hand and raced over to my mother to give her an extremely large hug that seemed to last forever. I had forgotten how much I miss her, and also the fact that Louis was standing right behind me.

"Oh sweetie, you look gorgeous!" She pulled me away and stared down at my blue and yellow floral dress that ended peacefully a little above my mid thigh.

"Hey mum this is my boyfriend Louis." I couldn't help but smile as I led him to my mother. Louis and boyfriend still didn't feel like they belonged in the same sentence. It felt weird coming out of my mouth.

"It's really good to meet you Mrs Smith." Louis stated to my mother, nerves still distinct in his voice. I wish that he would calm down, my family aren't usually that bad, but who knows how bad they would be with Lou.

"Oh please, call me Rachel! Come in!" Louis walked into my childhood home, seeing several images of me as a 1 year old. I was feeling quite embarrassed.

I walked into my home with mum, Louis strolling in front of us. "He's cute." Mum leaned in and whispered in my ear. I did my best not to giggle. It appeared that she was already liking him, and I really hoped that this would extend further. I knew that I was falling in love with Louis, and not even her could stop that.

LOUIS POV

After greeting Rachel, I didn't understand why I was so nervous to meet her parents, well her mum at least. She appeared to be very nurturing and caring, the spitting image of Caitlin. I panicked for nothing.

I entered the house was which was just as homely as the outside. I travelled down a hall which contained several pictures of what looked like a 1 year old Caitlin on the walls, as well as her two younger brothers. She was very cute from a very young age.

At the end of the hall, stood a door that opened into the kitchen and further along to the lounge room, where her dad and her two younger brothers sat. That was when the nerves set back in. Girlfriend's dads were always terrifying.

"Hello. You must be Louis?" He spoke in a manly tone, standing from his seat on the couch to shake my hand.

"Yes. Hello Mr Smith." I reached my hand out for him to shake it. Then Caitlin entered the room with her mother, which made me feel a bit more comfortable.

"Louis, this is my dad Sam and my two brothers Ethan and Dylan." She informed me as her brothers ran up from their seats and hugged her. "Hey boys!" She spoke excitedly.

"Dinner will be ready in 10." Rachel told the family from the kitchen.

"Lou, come with me." She grasped my hand in hers and we raced up about 2 stairs before turning to the right. A door was open to show light tan coloured walls, as well as a single bed, a desk and a wardrobe. I could tell immediately that it was Caitlin's room. Posters of Zac Efron and Demi Lovato on the walls and wardrobe doors. She shoved me in and lightly closed the door behind me.

"So Zac Efron huh?" I questioned, embarrassment showing in her features. It struck me that Caitlin could have forgotten about her old obsessions.

"Yeah sorry. I use to love High School Musical."
