BEFORE THE CONCERT
CAITLIN POV
"Guys, I need to tell you something." Those words kept ringing in my eyes. The utter concern in Bri's voice was deafening.
Dani and I glanced at each other with nothing but blank expressions. We didn't know what to expect, but we sure as hell didn't expect anything on the happy side.
"Please tell us what it is before I explode." Dani over exaggerated a lot.
"Ok well, you know how I'm at Oxford on a basketball scholarship...." I could see tears begin to well up in her eyes. This wasn't looking good, considering she rarely cried.
She paused for a moment before continuing her story. "...well it's ending at the end of next week."
Dani gasped while I just stared at her. Both speechless, and not the good kind.
"S-so what does this mean?" Dani spoke the question that had been on my lips.
"Well it means that I'm moving back to Sydney." You could see Bri doing her best to try and hold back her tears. She was doing pretty well.
"But now I have to break up with Niall..." And that was when she lost it. It all come flooding out. God, I felt awful.
All that Dani and I could say was how sorry we were. There truly was nothing that we could do.
"Sweetie, have you spoken to him?" I finally asked her a question about all this, instead of making Dani do all the work.
"Well no, but I know it's gonna be terrible. I sent him a text saying that we needed to talk but I don't know if I can do it."
"Just go up to his apartment and wait for him to get back from the concert later." I wasn't sure if that was the most amazing idea, but Dani sure seemed to think so.
"Yeah alright." She finally managed to stop the flooding of tears.
Within a few minutes, Bri had mopped her leftover tears and left my room, and not too long after that, I heard the front door shut.
I sat and thought about Bri's situation and what she could do, but there really wasn't much. She didn't strike me as the type who would try long distance, but that never really works anyway.
I was quite locked in thought when my phone buzzed beside me. To my delight it was from Louis.
>From: Louis<
Hey gorgeous. Sorry, we had to leave. How about I come talk to you later? x
I would never get over what this boy could make me feel in just when text message. I replied immediately, which now that I think about it, may have made me seem a little too eager, but I honestly didn't care.
>To: Louis<
Sounds perfect! Good luck for tonight! xo
I didn't do much with myself that night. I made a little pasta for dinner and just watched whatever was on tv, and lucky for me it was one of my favourite shows; The Big Bang Theory.
After giggling along with Sheldon, Penny and the rest of the gang, I turned to the clock on my phone which read 10:30. I was so tired but I wanted to stay awake to see Louis. I decided the best way to be comfortable and cosy was to get into my pyjamas and sit in bed for a while.
Next thing I knew, I was being shaken softly and I fluttered my eyes open to see a Louis' perfect face glancing over mine. Normally I would get a little upset if someone woke me up, but with someone like him, I honestly did not care.
