BRI POV
"So what's next?" I questioned, my head nuzzled into Luke's neck, making my speech slightly muffled.
"We go to London in about 2 weeks to meet with the boys, and confirm everything." He answered me, as well as the other girls around me.
"That's soon." Claudia commented, a little stunned by the quickness of everything.
After the excitement died down a little, the boys finally started rehearsing. Unfortunately Stef had to leave, but the rest of us girls seemed to enjoy ourselves.
The boys continued singing all of their regular songs. Heartbreak Girl, Unpredictable, Out of my Limit, and my personal favourite, Beside You. But then a different chord progression started. I knew every song by 5 Seconds Of Summer, backwards, and I knew that this song was not one of theirs. I was extremely startled and made a sudden outburst. I know how weird that sounds, but I made my outburst before my feet or head could realise what I was doing.
"Woah woah woah!" I stood up and the band stopped playing.
"What's wrong?" I swear Luke was trying to kill me with his wide leg stance and his guitar slung around his neck. If looks could kill, I'd be a dead girl walking.
"This isn't your song."
"Yes it is." He smirked back at me.
"Dude, I know every song of yours backwards. This is not your song."
"So we aren't allowed to write new ones?" His eyebrows lifted as jokingly questioned me.
"Well, you can." My eyes fell to the floor, as I padded back over to my bean bag, all eyes on me, as well as a few giggles.
"Ok, well this is a new song, and it's called 'Disconnected'." Ashton informed us. As much as I was looking forward to the new tune, I was still pretty embarrassed about the fact that the boys writing a new song had not crossed my mind.
However, my embarrassment was soon forgotten as I paid close attention to the four boys in front of me, jamming out with intensity, to a song that was totally their own. But who am I kidding, I was paying even closer attention to Luke and the lyrics that escaped his mouth.
"I like the summer rain,
I like the sounds you make.
We put the world away,
We get so disconnected.
You are my getaway,
You are my favorite place.
We put the world away,
Yeah we're so disconnected."
I couldn't describe how the lyrics made me feel. I just seemed to have some sort of connection with them. The song was incredible. I was so proud of the boys. To think they were probably going to play arenas with the biggest band in the world, that was a little too much to handle.
LOUIS POV
I awoke the next morning, lying kind of comfortably on the couch, sadly without a gorgeous girl on my shoulder. I lifted my head slightly to see Harry on the opposite side, basically in the same terrible tired state that I was.
Suddenly, the scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted into my nostrils. The only time that this happened was when my mother was in town, and I knew she wasn't here because I had spoken to her yesterday and I had told her that I would be there in a couple of days. So it had to be the girl with flowing brunette hair...
I lifted myself off of the couch and padded slowly into the kitchen. My first sight was my new girlfriend, standing over the coffee machine that sat in the corner of the stone bench. She stood on her cheeky black shorts and aqua crop top with a loose pink singlet over the top, either her gym wear or dancing attire.
