Chapter 41

LUKE POV

"Luke, I dated Niall Horan."

That moment when Bri dropped her bombshell, my heart fell a little in my chest. But I didn't understand why. I didn't know how to feel.

"Luke, say something. Please."

"Um. So you went out with the One Direction Niall Horan?"

"That's the one."

"The Niall Horan that I met tonight? Niall Horan?"

"Yeah that one. Luke, I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you earlier. I just couldn't go tonight. I didn't want to see him."

"Wait, so you didn't go to your mum's birthday?" I knew that she was lying to me. This wasn't exactly the cherry on top of the evening's cake.

"Well no but..."

"Just leave." I cut her off and spoke to my shoes. I couldn't bear to look at her at this point. I wasn't a 100% upset but I certainly wasn't happy.

"What?" Bri sounded like she was about to cry, which was rare for her. She was a strong girl. To make her cry was like making an angel cry, I felt awful.

"Bri, I just need to think about this. You can't just drop this and then lie and then act like everything is ok."

"Um yeah alright." Now she was speaking to her shoes as she headed out of the door.

I didn't know how to take this all in at once. How was I ever suppose to talk to Niall again, knowing that I took his girl? From what Bri said, it sounded like they didn't want to break up, they just didn't want to do it long distance. As nice as that kind of was, it wasn't nice for me though.

What was I going to do now?

LOUIS POV

"Morning gorgeous." Caitlin had began stirring on my bare chest. She hadn't moved the entire night, and I didn't want to wake her, so some cramps had developed in my legs, but I didn't really mind.

"Morning babe." Her morning voice replied to me.

"How'd you sleep?"

"Mmmm good." Her small hands tracing lines along the lines on my stomach, something she knew that I enjoyed.

"I'll be right back." Not that I really wanted to leave her warm arms, but I really needed to get rid of the cramps in my legs. Also, I really needed to pee.

CAITLIN POV

Despite my amazing night's sleep in the arms and the shirtless chest of my boyfriend, I couldn't get the whole situation with Luke and Niall out of my mind. I was very surprised that Louis hadn't asked about it yet, considering him obviously noticing my facial expressions last night.

At that moment, Louis re-entered the room, confusion layered upon his face.

"Hey Caity, can I ask you something?"

"Um yeah sure." I readjusted my position so that I was looking directly at him, and his amazing figure. You could never say no to him.

"When Niall asked Luke if he had a girl last night, you face fell in 1 second flat. Is it ok if I ask why?" I knew this was coming, but I didn't know how to tell him, or if I should tell him for that matter.

"Ok, I'll tell you, but you CANNOT tell a soul. And I mean it, especially not Niall."

"Oh god, what happened?"

"Well you know how Bri came back to Australia and her and Niall broke up."

"Thanks for stating the obvious there gorgeous." He sniggered at me as he took a seat beside me.
