CALUM POV

I waltzed over to this mysteriously gorgeous looking young lady who seemed to popping in and out of the conversation with her friend. A grin stayed on my face as I awaited the conversation to come.

I tapped 2 of my fingers on her shoulder, and she turned around extremely quickly. Maybe she thought I was some sort of serial killer.

Her eyes moved up and down by body a few times before her perfect eyes stared into mine. I couldn't help but notice a flawless smile on her lips. I all I could think about was how much I wanted to kiss them. I looked away hastily so she wouldn't think I had any false intentions.

"Um hi. I-I'm Calum." I spoke to her nervously. I didn't think that I was totally nervous, but apparently I was.

"Hey. I'm Claudia." She said in a cheery tone. If she was nervous, she was doing a pretty good job of covering it up.

All my nerves cleared as soon as she opened her mouth. I had never met anyone before who could do that.

"Are you enjoying the party?" I leaned a little bit to speak her. This damn music was really bothering me.

"Um yeah I guess. But the music is bloody annoying." She giggled softly. This girl, wow.

A few moment of silence filled us. I honestly didn't know what to say to her. Last time I spoke to a girl at a party, I totally screwed it up. I may have told her that she was hot, it just slipped out. I wasn't always the best around girls. This creeped her and she walked off and I never saw her again. I didn't want to repeat this with Claudia.

"You're hot." I covered my mouth immediately, so fast it hurt my face. Apparently I was repeating previous events. God, I sucked.

I turned around and began walking away. I knew that it was coming, I just didn't want Claudia to say anything.

But then, I was stopped in my tracks.

"Where are you going?" Claudia asked me with concern.

"Um I just thought that I stuffed everything up by saying 'that thing' and I'm just going to go now." I kind of stuttered as I spoke.

"Please don't go. I actually um think you're hot as well." She said directly to the floor. Did I hear her correctly?

"What?" I stepped back closer to her. I just wanted to make sure that what I heard was actually correct. That was the last thing that I expected to fall out of her mouth.

"Um you're hot as well." Her face fell to the floor again. It turns out that I wasn't hearing wrong, my ears were working fine.

CLAUDIA POV

"You're hot." This gorgeous boy named Calum said to me before totally covering his mouth. I'd never been called that before, and even though it was quite abrupt, I was feeling pretty happy with his choice of words.

To my surprise, he then began walking off. I was utterly lost for words and confused.

"Where are you going?" I asked him. I really didn't want him to walk away from me. I wanted his number and maybe a kiss to be honest.

"Um I just thought that I stuffed everything up by saying 'that thing' and I'm just going to go now." Each word came out as a bit of a stutter.

I had to say something to him. To have him go would be like getting speared in the chest. I had only just met this guy and I had already felt about 10,000 volts of electricity between us.

"Please don't go. I actually um think you're hot as well." Well I don't think that was the best thing to day but as always, it just slipped out. I think I should of been the one who needed to walk away.
