"She's gonna be alright Daryl, she's a tough young woman. She will be back." Rick tried to reassure me and clapped his hand on my shoulder.

"I just don't know why I can't find her." I said as I got up with my cross bow. I needed to look again, I had to find her.

I felt like this whole shit mess was my fault cause the one time I let her go back out there, she's gone. I knew she was tough, but it all came down to how long she could stay tough.

No matter where I went I couldn't find any of her tracks, and it was pissing me off.

I promised myself to look for her every single day until I found her, or until she came home to me.

I took short sharp breaths as I hurried back to Alexandria, in hope they'd be okay. Night was falling and I didn't have much time. I had to get away.

I had finally got away, finally after so long. The saviors had me held captive, but I got away. I had to, I had to save the others.

They didn't know the saviors were coming for them, and I had to get them out as soon as I could. Alexandria isn't safe anymore.

I had to hurry though, time kept moving and I only had so much of it left. Once they found out I escaped, they'd be on the hunt for me, which would be easy to find.

I felt my eyes tear with happiness as I saw the large walls of home. I brushed them away and kept moving.

I knew I looked like a walker and could get shot, so I tried to hustle so they would see me.

I had finally made it close and I was spotted.

"Weapons down, she's alive." Whoever was on guard said. The gate was instantly pulled opened and I was met with Terra.

"Oh my god." She said and grabbed me up in a hug, which hurt every bone in my body, but I didn't mind. "Where have you been?"

"I'll explain all of it, but come on we have to find Rick, and Daryl." I said grabbing her hand and trying to pick up my pace.

We busted through the door to greet Rick and Michonne standing by the stairs.

"Y/N!" They both yelled and smushed me in a hug.

"Thank god you're alright." Michonne said.

"We've all been worried sick, me, Carl, especially Daryl. He doesn't even sleep anymore. What happened to you?"

"I'll explain in a minute, but first where is he?" I asked worriedly. Knowing him he'd be out there getting himself in trouble.

"Upstairs, we made him rest. He's been on watch for two days straight, waiting for you to come back." Rick explained.

"I'll be back, then I'll explain everything. Just be ready to move fast, we might not be safe." I quickly sputtered out and hurried up the stairs.

I approached the room Daryl and I shared and it felt as I was moving at the speed of a tortoise.

I opened the door quietly to a sleeping Daryl, who even in his sleep looked so distressed and angry.

I felt tears welling up in my eyes and I sat on the edge of the bed and put my hands around his face.

"Y/N..." He mumbled without opening his eyes.

"Wake up, I'm home." I said rubbing his cheeks.

"Y/N, no, come back." He must have been dreaming that I was even real.

"Wake up." I said shaking him until he finally opened his eyes.

He squinted up at me and instantly grabbed for me. He pulled my face down so we could share a kiss we've waited forever for.

"Don't let me wake up again, you can't be gone this time." He whispered as his forehead rested on mine.

"I'm not going anywhere." I reassured him and rubbed my thumbs over his cheeks.

"What happened to you?" His voice was still soft and he placed his hand over mine.

"Too much." That was all I said for then, I had to take him back down with the others, we needed to move.
