song of the chapter: bird by billie marten (put link above) c:

The fresh cold air hit her face as she shut her eyes peacefully, admiring the silent night. She stood right where Ross previously did, only now he was fast asleep under his bed sheets, sleeping soundly. She opened her eyes looking up at the night sky, admiration for the beauty of the night god has provided. The sky flooded with stars, an amazing sight. "Wow."

Staring into the black void of her pessimistic thoughts and negative vibes, causing her to lean more forward towards the edge. She soon realized what she was doing, stumbling backwards onto the brick wall behind her.

"Jesus..."

The urge of climbing over and jumping was so intense it made her actually want to do it. She felt emotionally connected...

For so many years shes been so empty inside with nothing. Nobody supporting her and by her side. All on her own. Now she has Ross and she felt completely new. It was like a whole new different world that the universe has introduced her to and she it hanging onto it as if it was her last breath. Every moment she spent with Ross was so precious to her, and she felt so lucky. In a way, he was helping her. With almost everything. She looks back into the window, admiration for the blonde that was fast asleep. She wanted to hear his breathing.

She didnt want this feeling to go away.

Just as she was about to go inside, her flip phone began to ring. Her eyebrows raised as she rummaged through her pockets, in search of her phone. She found her phone, looking at the contact name.

jack

She sighed and picked it up, hesitantly. "Hello...?"

Ross'eyes flutters open, as he awakens to the muffled sounds of a conversation. "What..." he whispers. His vision was still a little blurry. As his eyes finally adjust, he sees Laura through the window, talking on the phone.

"Hello, bitch. How's your new life going?" he mockingly says through the phone, as Laura rolled her eyes. "Fine thank you."

"A therapist? Really? Hows that going for you?" he laughed. Laura stays silent. "Amazing. All daddy had to do was shake a few hands, enter in a couple numbers, and you were all set! No college no nothing! Way to speed through life honey!" Ross' eyes widened in shock.

"Whatever man. I'm thinking of quiting anyways..." she sucked her teeth. The older man laughed. "Wow what a loser. Giving up so easily." this man was a constant mockery to her existence. The only one who could weaken her spirit. And she hated it.

She grits her teeth.

"Alright what the hell are you really calling for?" she groaned. He chuckled. "Alright alright. I'll stop making fun of my sweet little Laurie. Meet me at the junk yard ASAP."

"Right now!?" she stutters a bit, turning to look at Ross through the shut window, who immediately shut his eyes once she turned.

"Yeah right now! Hurry your ass up!" and with that he immediately hung up on her. He didnt even tell her why. She took her RV keys and pocket knife from the small little table that was set out. Ross had a nice 'little place' here.

She took one last look at Ross. How long would she be gone?

"Sorry Ross."

And with that, she was off.
