Finally, Jack drove out of the forest and into the easy road, the suspicions we're almost completely gone.

"Gosh, that was fucking intense.." Laura breathed out, her blood was rushing through her body at a fast pace, the adrenaline still hitting her like a school bus at spring morning in April. Only the sound of the van was heard, as Laura turns around her concerns we're raised, "Alright Ross, how we feelin'?" she asked with an uneasy tension in her voice -- it sent shivers down his spine. He looked down at his body, his clothes all tattered and dirty, revealing some of the bruises and cuts he had gotten from leaping out that van and plunging right into the ground with Laura simultaneously rolling  among the hard surface providing a good amount of bruises and scratches all over -- enough to almost knock him out again.

"F-fine... just tired.. thats all." he was able to get out, exhausted, hurt. Not only was he physically tired, but he was emotionally exhausted. "You're not fine Ross."

"Yeah, I know."

"Alright Jackobuddyboy. Where the fuck are we going?" she interrogated, looking up at the mirror to make eye contact which was broken a few times for him to see the road. "Well Laurie, we're going to first drop the kid off to wherever he needs to go and--"

"There is no way we can do that. Not after that officer saw him. They'll be after him, I'm sure of it." Laura remarks. Jacks sighed as he continued his sentence, "And we're going to finish OUR plans. The original one before everything went to shit."

"And that is?"

"Off to the other side of town, where father is. Off to murder that son of a bitch."

"Whoa Whoa whoa.. Look I really don't want to partake in any murders..." Laura made clear, in an anxious tone. Jack only laughed. "Are you kidding me? That kid seriously transformed you to old lame ass Laura. Where is the badass carefree Laurie that we know? What the hells got you anxious about this fucking  murder?"

"I just don't want another murder in my record okay!" she yelled, and the ride went silent, as he stopped at the red light. Ross suddenly felt uneasy.

"Thats what your worried about? Relax. We wont get caught. Ain't got nothing to worry about. Hang tight to that carefree soul of yours okay? Those are hard to come by." his voice was geniuine, and he didn't seem like he was mocking her this time. For the first time in a long time when talking to him, she felt like it was gonna be okay.

"Ross?"

"Y-Yeah?"

"You still with me?"

"I-I don't wanna murder anyone..." his voice was small and his eyes we're widened as he starred at the hard platform of the car below, as they shook while Jack drove. She sat by him. She said in a soft tone, a very comforting voice, "Look, you don't have to murder anyone. Its just gonna be us. Our plan.  You have no part in this whatsoever. You we'rent even supposed to be here. Maybe we should drop you off, but... the police could possibly be right on our ass again and we cant risk that."  Laura turns back to Jack, "Whats the plan Jack? Give me something.."

"God..." he muttered. Carrie joined in. "I think, that he should stay, as an alert. Like if he sees cops, and stuff, he can alert us but stay in the van and its like if he was never there, you see?"

"But, we're you... exposing him? Why are you just murdering him? This should be thought out throroughly first I think..." Ross spoke.

"Oh I have."

"And-"

"Say no more."

"So, say if they do get to the van while we're breaking in, what then?" Laura asks.

"They dont have to. Ross will be parked in legal part, where he wont be bothered. Like I said -- its like hes not even there."

"Interesting. I like it." Jack laughed. "You think like an actual prisoner."

"Oh shut up." Carrie rolled her eyes, reloading her gun. "And the rest, let nature take its course. Future me will tell you the way I guess."

"You sound like grandpa." Jack muttered. Carrie laughed and sighed, as he took a turn to an abandoned building. "I do."

Jack got out the front seat and walked to the back, opening the back doors. "Alright, get out." he said sternly. Laura rolled her eyes, about to get out but she realizes Ross grasping hers. She felt a sudden shiver go down her spine as their skin made contact.

"What if... something goes wrong..?" his voice shakes, "And I get stuck here... I cant even drive a stupid car and-" Laura grabbed his face, squishing it slightly. "You are gonna be fine Ross. Stop worrying so much all the time." she laughs.

"Ughh cut the gross cliche lovey dovey crap. We have a job to do. If we dont get this done, the police will be on your ass too." he pressures as Laura finally got out the car and shut the door with Ross giving her the puppy dog look.

"Oh shut it. Let get this fucking shit done."
