Ross walked out of the building, feeling refreshed after he talked about things that have been happening, other than Laura. As he thought about her, he looked around remembering that she said she would meet him outside. Yet she was nowhere to be found. He sighed and continued off to his home.
                              -
The blonde pushed the door open, his mother sitting at the dining table as she flipped through a few papers.  He traipsed toward her, "Hey mom." She looked up immediately.
"Oh, hey Sweetie." she sighed. He raises an eyebrow out of concern.
"Mom? What wrong." he says anxiously, putting down his bag on the table.
She chuckled nervously. "Don't worry about it. Just rent piling up these days and overdue payments. I do everything in my power and even go away for awhile to make money. But nothing seems to work." she sighs again, deeper this time. She was disappointed in herself. "Its been hard, since your dad walked out.." she rested her head on her hand. "But dont worry about it. I dont want to stress you out. You already have so much on your shoulders.. Just-"
                              "Mom, Its okay-"
"No, its not okay Ross. I feel guilty for leaving you in this empty house but tell me what can I do? I do everything in my power to make things right." her voice raises a little bit, sounding if she were going to cry. "But It doesnt matter what i do.. I just-"
Ross tumbled towards her, embracing her in a hug.
How could he help?
How could he be something other than an utter complete nuisance?
                              -
Ross sat on his bed, deep in his thoughts. His teeth digging into his finger nails with every thought with every worry. He tried lying down, to get a rest.
                              Ross.
                              Ross.
                              ROSS!
He jolted from his bed, whipping his head both ways around the room, checking for anybody present with him in the darkness. No one. He falls back onto his pillow again, shutting his eyes.
                              ROSS! WAKE UP!
                               wAke up! wake up!
                               WAKE UP!!
He jolts back up again, sitting up properly. His hearts pulse rate beginning to pickup as he looks around the room again, dark shadows beginning to form. He sprints up from the bed, trying to see where the light switch was located in the room.
                              DONT TURN THE LIGHTS ON!
                              DONT TURN THEM ON!
                              DONT DO IT!
Ross screams loudly and races to the light switch, flicking them on. As light fills the room, he stumbles onto the ground, trying to take a breath as his heart rate slowly comes back to its normal speed.
As he sat in the corner of the room, he could hear the distant desaturated colos around him radiate around him like an overnight thunderstorm.
                              He couldn't hear them anymore.
He gets up from the floor, adjusting to the light. He slowly and sluggishly walks over back to his bed, tripping over a few book before reaching the bed. He sighed in satisfaction, the only noise he could he's were the noises of his breaths coming in and out of his nose through his mouth.
It's getting worst.
