Laura skipped off to the truck, rambling about something that happened at school. Ross obviously wasn't listening, only focusing on his upcoming drawing for art class. It was a free period, so obviously, Laura would take advantage of that.
She sat on top of the truck, grinning. "So??"
"So?" Ross mimics her, getting on top of the truck next to her. "I might dye my hair light blue. Or even light pink." she giggles. "Really?" Ross wonders, not keeping his eyes off his paper. Like if his eyes we're glued to the paper. "What are you doing on that paper anyways? You never keep your eyes off books, drawing, math, all sorts of smart stuff." Laura sighs. "Have some fun for once."
Ross finally looks at Laura straight in the eye. "Drawing is fun."
"Why?"
"Because its like your god with it. You get do anything. You can just let your imagination flow." he sighs. "Its the only thing that keeps me happy."
There was a moment of silence between them, leafs blowing in the wind, as they watched kids fooling around on campus, either lying on the grass, or playing foot ball.
Laura broke the silence, "What about me?"
"Hm?" Ross furrowed his eye brows as he looked at her.
"Don't I make you happy?" she asked shyly, kicking her legs back and forth. He chuckled. "Sure." he went back to his image of triangles, leaving Laura into thought. Maybe I'm not good enough.
She shrugged, as she heard the bell ring. "Whats next?" Laura asked him as she jumped off the rusty truck. "English..." he groaned, climbing down slowly. "Well we better hurry up." she grabbed his soft hands, dragging him to English class. "Laura slow down!" he sighed. Being Laura, she didn't listen, and continued running. Ross groaned, as they finally reached English class.
They took a seat, the teacher sitting at his desk. "Good afternoon students."
"Good afternoon..." the kids groaned, getting to their seat. "Now now. Lighten up." as the teacher rambled on about enjoyment of things, the two quietly talked.
"How many periods of English?" Ross asked. "Two." she responds. He replied in a groan. "Two periods? My worst nightmare!" he groaned in frustration. Laura giggled at him.

After all of that hell, it was finally time to go. Ross' mother wouldn't be at home tonight because of a two week trip for business in order to make money. His mother had left him $900 in a card for the whole two weeks. Laura skipped out of the school, happy and bubbly. Ross however the total opposite, an introvert and a composed manner, walked out of the school as well, following his chirpy friend.
They sat in her truck, sighing in relief of class being over. "How do you feel?" she asked her friend who's head was buried in his book. He looked up from his book that was in arabic.
"Fine. Why?" he wonders. "Buckle up my friend. we're going somewhere. "Where?"
"Its a surprise." she giggles, and covered his eyes with his white scarf. He groaned, and lets her cover his eyes with the scarf, because he was just to lazy to stop her.
He finally felt the car moving quickly, waiting for what was gonna happen. "It isn't so far now. we'll probably make it there." he hears her mumble to herself. He shrugged and ignored her, waiting.
---
The truck finally had stopped, and Laura was now leading him to the place. "Okay okay. Trust me. Keep going." she says, telling him to keep walking straight. "Stop!" she says. He stopped, and she finally took off the blind fold from him, which was a scarf. He opens his eyes, and looked up at the place.
Tattoos, Piercings and More!
"OH HELL NO! Fuck that shit!" Ross yells in front of the public. The public stared at him, weirdly. Laura pulled on his arm "Come on! You know you want to!" Laura giggled, tugging on his sleeves.
"I am so not getting a fucking tattoo!" he yelled at her once again. She smiled.
"You know you want to." she giggles at her stubborn blonde friend.
"No!! My mom would kill me!"
"Too bad." she then drags him into the store. "Don't worry. I'm getting one too. Think about it, then draw it on a white sheet of paper." she pats his back as they arrived in the waiting room, sitting down at one of the chairs.
He decided to just go through with it. This time he actually wanted to do it. Maybe it WAS something he wanted. He took a white sheet of paper, and began to sketch what he wanted. Well, not really a sketch..
Finally, once he was done, he heard his name being called.
"Ross lynch?"
Just in time.
