Chapter 9

"Lisa..."
I crouched myself beside her body, she was hurt. Seriously hurt, only two of the bullets hit but they were in her stomach and her upper leg.
"Baby, keep your eyes open."
I was crying a bit, I kept my eyes locked with hers, I held her stomach to stop the bleeding. My eye contact with her stopped after Viktor ran in, followed by Lilly. I scooted over and kept pressure on her stomach, Viktor pushed me out of the way, I fell to the floor and felt lifeless. The girl I loved is in pain, because I couldn't protect her..
"I'll get a car,"
I said as I sniffled and walked out of the room. As soon as I left the room I ran downstairs to get a car ready. Once I got in the car I phoned Tom and told him I was outside, soon after Lisa was carried into the car, Viktor got in, Tom, Lena and Lilly got into a separate car and followed me.
"We are going to a hospital right?"
Viktor asked me.
"My friend owns a private one down the road, he'll let us stay there while she's being treated."
I replied, I look into the tears view mirror and saw him nod his head.
A few minutes later we pulled up into the friends hospital. I jumped out of the car quickly and ran straight into the building.
"Oh hey Liam!"
I rushed in and paused,
"Need your help.. right now."
I grabbed a gurney and rolled it out to the car, I opened Lisa's door and pulled her out onto the gurney, I raced her into the building, Jamie's draw dropped as I brought her in, (Jamie is the friend who owns the private hospital).
"Follow me."
He jumped over the reception counter and started to run down a corridor, I had the whole family behind me following me.
"You're still beautiful, shorty."
I bent her down and kissed her forehead, other nurses and doctors grabbed her gurney and took her into a closed room, Jamie stayed outside and held us from entering.
"You have any rooms available for them?"
He nodded, and passed me two sets of keys.
"Them?"
Tom asked me, I nodded and replied,
"I'll be putting an end to this."
He nodded, but the others seemed concerned,
"Don't worry Tom will be here for you guys."
They seemed a bit more relieved but I could still sense some concern.
"I'll walk you to your rooms."
Once we made it to our rooms the atmosphere was eery,
"So.. I recommend that two of you got to my house and get all your clothes and stuff, I'll send a cleanup crew there in two days."
There were a few grunts but nothing I could call an answer.
"I'm gonna be leaving for a few days now. Can someone give this too Lisa when she wakes up. Please."
Lena nodded, I handed her an envelope and a necklace I was wearing.
" Can you tell her, I'll always be with her."
I hugged Tom, and walked out of the room. I ran through the hallways and down to my car. I rushed to my house, I went downstairs and got changed, I put a pair of jeans on with a pale pink jumper. I packed a suit into a weekender bag, I also grabbed two Glocks and an AR-15. I phoned the untraceable number on my phone,
"I need you to find something for me."
I said,
"I'll send an image, send me locations and names."
I ended the call.
I'm not having the Lisa in constant danger. After all... I love her.
