Jamie was shaking in terror, what she had just experienced she wouldnt have ever expected. She was clinging onto Carter as she cryed into him. Luke was looking at her with wide eyes but came to me instead. "I-I-I.." He was stumbling on his words, the look on his face was pure sadness. "Shh honey shh" I took his head and put it on my shoulder, rubbing the back of his neck.
I felt him relax against my body when the speakers went off, "Everyone Progress to the second level." I looked all around, staring at my feet i saw water start to rise from the floor. "Everyone hurry!" I yelled as I saw everyone surry up the stairs, the water reached my neck as I helped Luke up the stairs. His ankle wasnt getting any better, I sighed at the thought knowing it was true. We both stepped foot onto the second floor and stared out the window that was plasered facing the garden. water filled all the way up to the floor of the second story.
Wide eyes were all around as we watched the water swoosh back and forth. "Now that all of you have reached our second floor, how about you take a tour." You could hear the venom in their voices as they spoke.
I looked around as Luke held onto my for dear life as we moved around. Ellie soon came up next to me. "We are sleeping closes to the stairs. We cant take any risk of us drowning after this floor is done.." I nodded as we progressed, Jamie not to far behind us as she was clinging onto Carter crying.
Why wasnt Luke crying?
He just killed his sister yet he seems to take it so naturaly, Just like Ellie.
We stopped infrount of two huge doors, they were next to the stairs, Ellie went to the one on our right. Opening it revealed a small living area, and kitchen. I sighed and plopped Luke onto the couch. "Ellie Is there something your not telling me!? Because it seems werid that you and Luke take killing people so naturally!"I snapped at both of them, earning shock as she looked at me with pain yet again in her eyes.
"Th-thats something I cant tell.." She mummbled as she looked at Luke as if he were going to help her answer. His shoulders shrugged as he streched along the couch.
"Im waiting for my answer Elllie." I stated bitterly crossing my arms tapping my foot. She sighed looking up to me then Luke and finally back at me. "Honney.. I couldnt explain it but-"
"Does it look like I care Ellie? Because right now you both killed an innocent person who will never come back, leaving their families and never returning just like your big brother Ellie!" I turned towards Luke, "Oh boy dont even let me get started on you!" I yelled pointing at him, "Killing your sister! Your killed your own sister not even a tear or a look of hurt! You both make me sick!" I turned out of the room and sat out on one of porches locking the door and shutting the curtens. I need to be alone.
I sat on on of the chairs on the white painted wood porch. I watched the water intensly, I killed an innocent, I was no better than them.. I sighed and felt the tears coming down my face. I willingly cried as I watched out to the water below. I looked up and saw two proches like this one on the other two stories above us. I cried more knowing that four people died and more were to get killed, or would wide up dead by some means.
I balled for what felt like hours. I stared up as the sun started to set giving the darkness to set in before a new day arose. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I locked the door and the curtons were shut, no one could hear me or even be here, I quickly turned around and found warming blue eyes meeting mine, her short light hair barly grazing her shoulders. "Hey Honey" She smiled at me. "B-b-but"
This couldnt be her
She died.
I stared up into her face trying to figure out how dillusional I was. "Honey dont look at me like that. Just hear me out ok sugar plum?" I stared at her as I heard a knock on the door leading out the the patio. "Hey guys she might be out here!" I heard Lukes voice shout from the other end of the door. I stayed quiet as Kat took my hands. "Honey I have a short time but I need to explain this to you ok?"
I nodded my head awaiting answers.
"Everytime someone mentions it when they are alive they die. Thats why Luke and Ellie didnt say anything. But everyone who dies passes on to another court, we call it the non living court. Those of us who died go their and watch the game, giving help to those who need it. The living court makes sure we dont over step our bouderies. Right now we are safe, we dont hate you guys eaither, you did what you had to do to survive. Luke and Ellie understand that. They read that diary together because her big brothers girlfriend, well, she was our older sister. They both grew as siblings I was always left out but I never minded. But Honey right now you need to go in there and hug my brother! I know he is a player and will toy with emotions but hes hurting, he may not show it but you hurt him even more than killing me. Just by pointing out the fact hon. I need to go before the living court finds me. Bye Honey" She kissed my forehead before completely disappearing.
What the fuck just happened??
I heard another knock on the patio door. "You dont think she jumped right? Because if she did I am jumping to. I made her a promise, I made Kate a promise Ellie. Oh god what the hell am I going to do" He slamemd his fists on the door makeing me jump, I decided to open the curtens but when I did I saw something I never wanted to see.
A black demon. I heard the leadgends but they were never real. He was inside the house, he was trying to trick me to go in with him. I smiled as he recongnized me and took a step back. He ran off into someplace as I laughed at him. I awaited for Ellie and Luke to check the patio again before coming inside. Esspecially since an old friend was awaiting me there.
