Finally the worst battle yet came to an end. Brittney no were in sight as Ellie was panting out of control, hands on her knees as her long brown hair flew onto her face, sticking to it from her sweat. Her gold eyes met mine but then soon met someone behind me.
I turned and saw Rich smiling at her, I turned to her as she took a step back, losing her balance trying to grip the beam behind her missing and falling back into the deep blue. I felt the water works start but Brittney's partner Carter stepped in and took her hand.
It was almost like everything was going in slow motion. I stood there frozen in my own fear of what to come, I mean after all she is my partner. But out of the corner of my eye I saw Rich disappear and next to the end of the patio he then re-appeared.
Rich gazed down at his sister as Carter started to lose grip slipping along side Ellie. Ellie's eyes soon met her brothers as she saw him for the first time in ages as he smiled at her wishing her well. She closed her eyes and waited for the impact as her body was soon encased by water as along Carter's.
The pound on her head was from the Stone fountain, forcing her head open, as she bleed out, drowning. Carter soon hit the bottom but soon tried to reach the top when he was then engulfed by the force of my water, knocking him into the stone fountain's body, snapping his neck.
The water started to rise higher and higher, as I walked to the edge. I turned and looked at the bottom seeing Ellie's blood everywhere, making the water from faint pink, to a more vibrant pink. Carters body was limp laying on the bottom. The water touched the patio as I went inside, shutting the screen door.
The tears were streaming out of my eyes, I couldn't make them stop. It hurt so badly, I didn't want her to die. I could have saved her, but I froze. I shook the thought from my head once the speakers went off.
"How did you guys like that challenge? An amazing right! Its beautiful what some manipulation could do." The living court then laughed, "Must hurry to the 3rd floor little ones, don't want to get swiped up by the waves do you?" I felt the wetness on my feet and looked down. The water started rising and went to my ankle. I felt like I couldn't move. Here I was again, frozen, but then I felt a push towards the steps, I turned to see Luke trying to push me. "Luke leave me here I will be ok."
The tears stained my face were still going, as he looked at me with worry and guilt on his face. "I cant leave you. Not now not ever. I made you a promise, I am never going to break it." I felt my feet lifted off the ground as he tried his best running towards the stairs as the water had reached our knees.
We soon reached the steps when I saw her. Kat standing where I once was smirking at me while waving me off. I shook my head hard and she was gone. Luke ran up the rest of the stairs with me in his arms as I cuddled into him and cried more.
"Please tell me you saw her to?" Luke whispered in my ear, sending shivers to run down my spine. I nodded and looked into his glistening hazel eyes. He clung onto me tighter as we made our way to the main room. A huge TV with the rest of the crew, Jamie, Luke, Edward, Mark and I. The living court soon appeared onto the screen as they all gazed at us.
"Are you kids ready for your third floor challenge?" I turned towards everyone nodding their heads yes, as I kept my head still. The 3rd level turned to me, "And you Ms. Lex?" I shook my head no, feeling the tears still going. "We grant you tonight to rest before the challenge tomorrow. Trust us you will need it." Everyone nodded and went off to separate rooms. I looked at Luke and hugged him tightly.
I cried into his chest as he took me to a room as Jamie followed behind us. "I cant believe you! You let my Carter die!" She screeched on and on about for another hour as the tears were stained on her face. I frowned and looked at her, tears still running down my face like a waterfall. "Leave me alone Jamie. I just lost an amazing friend. Now please can you bitch tomorrow? Yes, ok thank you!" I snapped, and sat down on the side of the bed holding my head.
A warm arm wrapped around my shoulders as I turned my gaze to meet the enchanting hazel eyes as he took me in his arms. He rubbed my shoulder as I leaned on his. I slowly closed my eyes and heard him whisper in my ear, "I will never leave your side even if we are put against each other Lex." He kissed my forehead as darkness soon over took me.
